Tylr, I have just about the same post op stats. Sleeved Oct 12 SW 205, CW 193. I am fitting into clothes that were a little snug but can't really "see" a significant difference. I was a lower bmi'er but started feeling like based on other people's success I will not see the weight loss I'd hoped for. Really hope this isn't the case:(

Ms Rosie, One of the first since of dehydration is a headache. Have you been getting in your h2o? This has been one of my weaknesses as I never enjoyed water. However, our bodies need it more now than ever....

Ok abdominal pains feels like I worked out to hard kinda soreness Plus the gas has kicked in. The nurse just gave me my first cup of ice. I will take it slow though. I'm able to get up on my own with no assistance to pee(maybe tmi) but I think it's the small things pre opers may want. Grateful for the advice given here about splinting with additional pillow. So far so good....

Done Did it Too! Got to my room after surgery around 5 pm. Pain is manageable with meds. I've only had one wave of nausea and that was after my walk and trip to the bathroom. Very hungry! I'm still NPO until morning. Oh what I would give for a Popsicle Well getting drowsy now so I will touch bases tomorrow.

Well I up, not that I could sleep anyway last nite. Ready to go get this done!! Nervous and excited all at the same time. Thanks to all of you for the postings you have made. They have helped make this leg of my journey so informative. I can truthfully say it is because of ALL of you that I am confident in what lies ahead of me today. I purchased appetizer fork and spoon set. Handles feel like normal but hope it helps with bite size and slow eating. Surgery this Friday!!

Less than 36 hours away....all I hear in my head is the song, "I'm so excited" .....and I just can't hide it.......

Susan, I was in your town(Mooresville,near Brawley School Rd) last nite at an amazing birthday party. They had wonderful finger foods.....including some sort of soup/tomato paste in shot classes for shrimp skewers! Did without the shrimp and had a couple of glasses of the soup/paste which was delish. Furthermore for the first time in years I said NO to the cake.

Good luck to everyone! I am 6 days away from my new self! My bags are packed,hubby says I'm acting like were having a baby. I'm just super anxious to get back to a before baby weight,seeing as that baby we did have is 22 years old!!

TOM and liquid diet, saying I'm edgy is an understatement. Not to mention how much I wanted something from McDonalds and a snicker bar. But my beef broth and sugar free hot chocolat will have to do!!
