Has anyone had or heard anything about laser liposuction? I have seen a few billboards & such around town & was wondering about it?

Thank you! I havent really been doing anything different than all of you, I guess I just am lucky that my fill was almost perfect the 2nd time! I just got my 3rd fill about 2 weeks ago & she only put .5 cc in. I am just stuck now. Have any of you heard or tried the lipotherapy? I have been looking at it.

Hey everyone! I haven't posted on here in a while so I just wanted to say Hi and see how everyone was doing? I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! It looks like everyone is doing so great on their weightloss, I'm so excited for all of you! I finally cleaned out my closet Monday and got rid of 3 huge bags of clothes that are all way to big, It was really exciting!!! We took some pics of clothes that used to fit me, the skirt was actually tight on me. I just wanted to share these with you'll, it is amazing what a huge difference 6 months and 97lbs makes! Hey Janet, I hope you are feeling much better!!! For those of you that don't know me, my name is Season, I was banded June 11, 2007, by Dr. Schmitt. My starting weight on the Friday before my surgery was 312 lbs and I am down to 216 lbs this morning. 4 more pounds to go until I hit my 100 pound mark!!!!!! I want to get down to around 180 lbs and see how I feel when I get there as to if I want to keep going (I am 6'1" tall, so I figured around 180lbs will be about right for me)

I went last Monday for my 2nd fill and Lisa scared me, she couldn't find my port after about 10 minutes of messing with it, she said that she thought it had flipped. She finally went and got Dr. Schmitt and he found it pretty quick. Needless to say I was relieved that it hadn't done any flip flops! My weight has been stuck for the past week or so, I am down to 268, from 312. I am so ready for the scale to start moving downward again! Well I hope everyone is having a great Humpday!

How many calories are you doing a day? What are you eating?

Suzzzie - Did you talk to BC before your surgery? Did they tell you that you would have such a huge bill? I thought we would only have to pay our deductable, and I am pretty darn sure that our deductable is not that high!!! I have been playing on fepblue.org and it is all foreign to me. I am going to call them in the morning and try and find out what the deal is. I am really hoping I don't have to come up with $5,000. Let me know when you get your bill if it is anything close that that!

I am 28, I was banded on June 11, 2007, by Dr. Schmitt in Birmingham, AL!

Everyone that used their insurance, I just got a bill from my Dr. for almost $5,000. I was told that my insurance, which is BCBS Federal, would cover the lapband. Why would I be getting a bill for almost $5,000???? Is anyone else having any problems like this????

Hey Everyone!!! I was going to attach a pic of my new band and my stomach so all of you could see it but for some reason it will not let me!?@?@???? What do I need to do to change it so I can post pics?Anyway, today went GREAT!!! I am sore from my belly button to the bottom of my boobs, other than that I am GREAT! I left the hospital with my dad and went to K-mart to get my loritab RX filled and they pharmacy didn't open until 2PM, it was about 1:40 PM so I walked around the store for about 30 minutes. Went and got my son from daycare. Then I went to my parent's house where I took less than an hour nap, then got up and walked around the house. I ate a few bites of jello while my parents, hubby and son ate dinner. Then we went to Wal-mart and I walked about there for about an hour. I am now at home. I don't have any gas pain, is that something I should already have or something I will get tomorrow? I get to take a shower in the morning and take my bandaids off so I will be able to see my staples!If I can figure out how to post pics I will attach them on here for everyone to see. I added them to my myspace page if any of you would like to see them. My profile is on private because of folks at work so I will have to add you so you can see them.I hope everyone that was banded today didn't have any problems and feels as good as I do!!!

I am right there with you, I am about to go get some YUMMY chicken broth so hopefully my stomach will quit growling at me!!! What time do you have to be at the hospital? Surgery time? I have to be there at 6:15 and I have no idea what time my surgery is scheduled for... all the lady told me was that I was the second surgery of the day!

I am going to be right there with you'll! My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning and I am thinking I will start today or tomorrow! The more I thought about it I thought it would probably be better because I will have the pain meds!!!

Hey Janie! Dr. Schmitt is doing my surgery! The first appt they really don't do much, mostly just tell you all of the "hoops" you will have to jump through, if you have to go to the psych, cardio, sleep Dr., blood work, etc. You can go ahead and request your medical records from all of your other Dr's so you can give them to Neoami, who handles all of the insurance & surgery appts for both Dr Schmitt and Miles. She is really nice. If you haven't gone to a lap band support group meeting they are GREAT!!! The next one is Saturday June 16 at 10:30 AM, in the Medical Center East conference room. ***You have to go to at least one support group meeting and get a certificate from the meeting before they will schedule your surgery*** Veronica, Jill and Tim are the main folks that host the meetings. Veronica is one of the nurses and also teaches part of the nutrition class you will have to go to. http://banders4life.com Check out their web page if you have a few minutes! Dr. Schmitt does not require the two week pre-op diet like alot of people on here talk about. From midnight tonight *Sunday Morning* until midnight tomorrow night I can only have clear liquids and have to do the oh so much fun fleet soda bowel clensing thing tomorrow afternoon/evening. After midnight tomorrow night I can't have anything at all to eat or drink. I have to be at MCE at 6:15 Monday morning for my labs because they didn't get done Friday at my pre-op appt. I am his 2nd surgery on Monday morning *I am not sure what time it will be* If you have any questions feel free to ask! Good news is that they now pay for it - they just approved it in my policy in APRIL! Woo hoo !! I have an appointment with Dr. Schmidt on July 11 - but I call each week to see if there are any cancellations. This won't rush my surgery due to Blue Cross's rules, but I can't wait to learn all I can about it.

It is called Zero Carb Isopure, it is Whey Protein, they had a few flavors but I thought the Pineapple-Orange-Banana sounded pretty good. I tried it this morning with some Crystal Light Sunrise. I mixed some Ice in with it and it was really good! It kinda has a smoothie taste to it!!! Here is the link to it if you want to look at it. GNC They have some REALLY YUMMY flavors on the web page that they didn't have in the store!
