1. My surgery date was July 13th.
2. Unjury has unflavored. You can get it at Welcome to the UNJURY Homepage.
3. I went to my first information session on 4/18/07. My initial consultation with the surgeon was on 5/21/07. Psych test, nutrition consultation, new patient class was on 5/23/07. Insurance approval first of June and surgery 7/13/07.
4. I was banded 3 days ago. I haven't had a lot of gas pain but my stomach constantly rumbles and makes lots of noises. I hope you feel better soon.
5. I was banded on Friday, July 13th. I stayed in the hospital overnight and was released the next morning. My ride home was 1 1/2 hrs. Just make sure you bring a pillow to put over your stomach for the ride home. I think my mom hit every hole between the hospital and home that day. I promise if I was okay then so will you. The pillow really helps.
6. I live in Baxley, Georgia - (south GA)
7. The surgeon used disolvable stitches on the inside and glue on the outside. I go back in 2 weeks for them to look at the incisions.
8. Was your surgery date the same as mine, trystelle?
9. I was just banded Friday, July 13th. I was a nervous wreck wondering why I would allow myself to be inflicted with pain and why am I doing this to myself. Everyone said that those thoughts and feelings were normal. Anyway, I didn't run for my life from the hospital and had the surgery. I was sore yesterday but feel much better today. The only things that I worry about now is when I move am I messing something up in there? It's crazy I know to be paranoid but I just can't help it. Anyway, good luck with your surgery and look at this as a new beginning for you.
10. Does anyone feel like their insides are ripping apart when they get up and down? I try to be careful but there is only so much you can do.
11. Thanks. I have got to remember to sip not gulp. It's a hard habit to break.
12. I got 2 prescriptions when I went for my final consultation with the surgeon. He gave me liquid Roxicet and liquid phenergen. I have been nauseous twice so I was very glad that I got the meds.
13. My surgery was yesterday. Is it normal to hurt so bad everytime you move? If I cough it feels like my inside are going to explode. I'm afraid that I am going to make the band slip or my port flip. Is this normal?
14.
I got my band yesteray...Friday the 13th. I was okay until I started driving to the hospital, 2 hrs away. The real jitters started when they took me back to preop. Then I got a little freaked. They said that the surgery went beautifully. I am a little sore but not as bad as I thought that I would be. All I can say is to hang in there and being scared is normal. I wish all of you luck with your surgeries.
