  1. In reality no one believe everything in the Bible, Koran or other religious books. They choose the parts that fit their current lifestyle and disregard the rest. If people would just educate themselves about how their religious books came to be and the process of authentication it went through, they would see the lack of creditability it has. To consider that it was written during a period long after it occurred, men tendency to rewrite history to their interpretation and it's full of contradictions. Society use religion for control and behavior guidelines. One day it will be nothing but a great literary book like the Odyssey or other mythical books. But the best selling author will forever be unknown. Muslims take their Koran more literally than most Christians these days. Back in the Crusades Christians were as bad and barbaric. I believe it has to do with the western world advanced development in science and separation from traditions. Even when individuals from the Middle East or other less developed countries become educated the cling to their old beliefs for a variety of reasons. There is so much more but I think you get my point. People created religion and now we have to deal with the consequences of how individuals and societies interpret it. 2. I want to believe...All my life I've been surrounded by Christians. The most judgemental ones too; hell fire & brimstone type. Once in college, the more knowledge I acquired and thought about God with reason and logic, the less I believed. Living by faith was too much like living by the wish and hope factor that gets you nowhere. But I still can't excape my upbringing. There is something in me that Want To Believe in God. Because the unknown is pretty scary. That we just come to an end is hard to accept. But than again according to most religion I'll end up in hell anyway because I Refuse to bow to organized religion, shout and praise or other servant like behavior. Yes I have a lot of pride which I've been told plenty of times will send me to hell. While I won't say God doesn't exist, it can't be proven. You won't know until you die and than its too late. Besides No One I know live the life exactly according to the guidelines of their religion. So we all May be doomed. All that being said I feel spiritual. I love nature and looking at the stars, planets and all things Cosmology. Sent from my iPod touch using VST
  3. I know exactly how you feel. Since I gained so much wait I've become a reclusive. I have lost touch with friends, refuse to go to family events or birthdays. The shame of putting on so much weight and not being able to exercise it off has made me a prisoner. It's been 3 yrs and all my clothes are way too small and I refuse to but big clothes. My sister brought me some clothes yesterday and I cried looking at the size, knowing she guessed what my current size may be. It's depressing and I won't miss that sense if worthlessness. 4. I've also go to OH. It's where I first started. Now I will be checking out dr. Ponce de leon and Dr. Garcia. If I decide to save up more than it will either Dr. Alvarez or Dr. Aceves. Their the only doctor my PCP would recommend. Sent from my iPod touch using VST
