He has tried taking charcoal tablets to no avail. Has anyone else expierenced this? Does any one have any suggestions for what he can try to aleviate this problem. Thank you in advance for your help. 2. Happy August everybody. This month I am commiting to working out more days than not. I did not make it to the gym today but, tomorrows another day. I feel sooooo much better when I go. I do water aerobics. Love it. Three days a week I do strenght training. Hope to get some tone to the flab. It is so encouraging to read everybodys posts. Helps knowing other people are going through the same thing. Keep up the good work everyone. Here's to a successful August! Robin
  3. Hi Mary, I'm from Marshall, Michigan. Near Battle Creek. I feel the same way about "junk" food. It's not an every day occurence now though. Just once in a while. Take Care. Robin
  4. Hi all, I just found this thread. I was banded in March too. You are all amazing. Your wt losses are fantastic!!! I lost 30 pounds my first month and then nothing for about 2 1/2 months. I sure does your ego good to see those scales moving again. Although I am trying not to make that my focus. What do you think has helped the most? Congrats to you all. Keep up the fantastic work! Robin
  5. Well said Holly. Food was always there for me. It never laughed at me. It never whispered behind my back. It never pointed at me or looked at me with loathing. It never said you don't really need to eat me. It was there for me when I was sad. There for me when I was happy. It never told me I needed to diet. It never cared what I looked like. It is worse than loosing a best friend. I was banded in march. I lost 30 pounds my first month but nothing since then. At first I was delighted. 30 pounds. Wonderful. Now I am frustrated. No weight loss since april. I want my best friend back but not really. I am torn. I need to leave old ideas behind. Embrace new ways of life but I'm not sure I know how to. What do I do without my old standbys? What do I turn to now? I think I truly feel lost and alone.
  6. Have you gotten any replies to your question about slippage? I was wondering the same thing about me. I lost 30 pounds the first month. Nothing since then. I do get full sometimes but, I can eat a lot more than I should. I haven't been making good food choices either. I am very frustrated. I don't want to have come this far and not be a success story. Anybody able to help?
  7. I haven't exercised in 2 weeks. But before that I was swimming 5 days a week and strength training 3 days a week. I'm going to log my food intake and then I think I'll call for another fill. Thanks for your response. Robin
  8. Hi everyone, I lost 30 pounds my first month. Nothing since then. I have had 3 fills. I feel I am still able to eat too much. The last 2 weeks I have eaten poorly(vacation, daughters hs graduation party ect...) I am exercising and strength training. Could I need another fill? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Robin:help:
  9. Hello all, I was banded on March 15, 2007. Surgery done in Ypsilanti, MI by Dr. Schram. To date I have lost 30 pounds. However I lost that the first month and have not lost more since then. I have had 3 fills. I think I may need another one. Any thoughts? I am sure I have overeaten the past 2 weeks. Vacation and Daughters High School Graduation party. What damage happens with overeating? Can it be corrected? Thanks in advance for replies and advice. Robin
