  1. I felt hunger the next day in the hospital. (or i thought it was) until they brought me my first meal of chicken broth and Jello. It took an hour an a half to finish only half. Guess I wasn't that hunger. I was on full liquids when I left the hospital on day 2 and within one week on to soft foods like cottage cheese. The chewing made a huge difference on my hunger pains/thoughts. I had severe gastic reflux before surgery and the pains I am having are not the same as those felt with the reflux. I do find keeping to a strick schedule for eating and drinking my protien shakes has made a huge difference and the hunger pains are less and less as the time goes on.
  2. Stay strong and stick with it, it really is to bad they are saying drop the 5lbs.
  3. I am only one week out from my surgery and am having the same issue. I would be intrested to know if its true hunger pains or my stomach adjusting to its new smaller size. I have my one week follow up tomorrow and plan on asking my Doctor about them. Once I take a couple tiny bites the pain goes away. Stay Strong everyone
  4. Hi, I am a 41 year old mother of 5 adopted children. For the last 10 years I have done treatement fostercare, from which 4 of my children were adopted through. Everyday I say I am the lucky one to have them in my life. Before that my husband and I owned and ran a dairy farm for many years. My entire adult life has been a struggle with my weight. I am one week, one day post-op. After a few days of "buyers remorse" I am feeling much better and so glad I made this discision. I knew I needed a permanent life style change to manage my weight, the sleeve was the right choice for me.
