  1. Hi Cher: Went on your website and see there is a conference March 20-21, 2009 and this site stated March 27-29. Are these the same thing or two different things? Thanks.
  2. HI: As long as it's within easy distance to NYC for those who want to see the city, NJ is just fine!! Carla
  3. Hi: I love TLBC. I personally never had any issues with Nancy and always found her pleasant and helpful. I understand your feelings since that was me 9 months ago but I can tell you you won't get a better support base anywhere else! Best of luck.
  4. Hello Ottawa bandsters: When is your next support get-together? An acquaintance of mine lives in Ottawa and is banded. He does not have e-mail but would like to meet some of you lovely people to share experiences. I PM the original person who started this thread so hopefully somebody will reply. Thanks.
  5. Hello everyone: Since Xmas I don't seem to be able to control my eating habits. I have been for a fill and then a defill (acid reflux) and am going for another fill this coming Wednesday (March 5). The thing is I can eat a lot more then I should and I don't get that satisfied and full feeling. I can eat a whole sandwich and not blink - can anyone else do that at their 'sweet spot'? Last night I was able to have a big whopper and onion rings - no problem . I have not gained any weight because I try to control myself as much as I can but I'm afraid my self control won't last very long and I shall return to my old habits. Did anybody else have these issues 9 months after surgery?
  6. Hello Green: Keeping my fingers crossed and I'll be praying for you. Carla
  7. WOW Andrew you look hot!!! :cursing: Congrats to you and what an inspirational story for all of us.
  8. OOOPS that didn't sound to good did it?
  9. Hi Doddie - yes the chocolate man was delicious but I only ate the head and gave away the rest of it.
  10. Happy Valentine's Day to all TLBC bandsters! As a single chick I received the most beautiful gift "The Perfect Man" (made of chocolate of course). I knew there was no such thing as a perfect man  Don't eat too much chocolate!
  11. Thanks Doddie - I'll send an e-mail to Hanna.
  12. Bandiva - I lucked out on that because my GP knew all about the band and she was very supportive. She's actually asked me to talk to some of her patients about it.
  13. Bandiva - congrats on reaching goal weight. Did you ever have those nights where you would say "I'd kill to have a good binge"? How did you handle it? I'm going through that phase right now
  14. I rarely watch Oprah but the show came on as I was getting ready to go to work. Kudos to the mothers of the kids who were able to recognize their kids had a problem but I was a little ticked at Dr. Oz when he said the band is not as successful as other forms of surgery . Oprah is a perfect candidate for banding but her holier-than-thou attitude will never make her admit it.
