Hello fellow sleevers. My name is Wendy and I am finally approved for surgery! The date is set for Sept. 4th. I am very excited, but nervous. It has been a long journey to get to this point. I think of how different my life along with my families life will be because of this surgery. Although most of my thoughts are positive, I think my biggest fear is that I will fail at this too and let myself down along with giving everyone else the power to say "I told her that this surgery wouldn't work". I want so much to be successful, but since I haven't known true success when it comes to weight loss, I can't shake that little devil telling me not to get my hopes up.
I really need this as I have Rhuematoid Arthritis and know that this would help me get around easier and enjoy things more. I also don't want to be a burden to anyone IF I ever become disabled. I couldn't bear to have someone try lift me when I'm this big.
I pray that we all get the courage to be strong in our fight to be healthy. My hope is that with everyone's support, we can beat down that little voice that tells us we can't achieve our goals.
