  1. I hope your dr. Gave you an Rx for nausea &gas. If not, I'd ask for one. It is a pill that dissolves under my tongue. It helped a lot! Get some rest and use your pain meds. I believe if you can keep pain under control, you are able to heal quicker. I'm 4 days post op and feel so much better. You'll get there...hang on!
  2. Thank you guys for your support. Best wishes to you both!

  5. Hello everyone. I finally got sleeved on Sept. 18. I know I'm healing, but I figure if I'm not eating anything I should be loosing weight, right? I am still at the same weight as before surgery. Does anyone else have this problem? I guess I am just anxious about not seeing the scale move. I am very thankful that I did not have any problems with surgery and I seem to be recovering normally...just wondering why the scale isn't showing any results yet. Thanks for listening!
  6. I would give your dr. A call. I had surgery on the 18 th and never really had pain from my incisions. You need to make sure there isnt an infection starting. Then you can also ask about your protein. I get to start adding protein on Sunday, but every dr. Is different. Best to talk to your dr. Best wishes.
  7. Glad everyone is doing well. My surgery was postponed because of a bladder infection. Im in the waiting room now to see if I can have my surgery this morning. I'm scheduled for 9:30 am, but waiting for test results. I hope they don't send me home again!

  13. Hello everyone! My surgery is set for Sept. 4th too. I'm not required to do a liquid diet until the day before surgery. I am having a protien shake for breakfast and lunch though, just so I don't gain any weight back that I've lost. I am eating a normal supper. I keep thinking everytime I eat my supper that it could be the last time I eat this meal. Its like a time of mourning for me! I am going to miss eating, but I'm so looking forward to enjoying life!

  19. I do the same thing. I was up in the middle of the night thinking about it! Hang in there...we will get through this.
  20. I am set for Sept. 4th! Very excited, but nervous.

  22. Hello, Reading your story has touched me as I was just approved for surgery also and am scheduled for Sept. 4th. I too am very excited, but worry about how this will effect my girls. I have a 12 yr old and 10 yr. old girl. I want to be a good model for them and feel that not only am I letting myself down, but them as well. I can only hope and pray that after the surgery I will model good eating behaviors for them, as I don't have the self control to do that now. I also have R.A. I know that this surgery will not cure my R.A., but getting this weight off will have to make things easier for us to move. I wish you the best and hope to follow your story as we have so much in common. Take care! Wendy
