Sleeved Dec 13th. Lost 22 pounds since then. Can that be right?
Yes. I have no problem with taste or nausea with the shakes. It is just taking in the volume that I can't manage. The GNC Amp shake mixes up pretty well so you don't get that chalky texture. You get a few lumps but not many. So I can drink them pretty well.

That makes sense. As for shakes, I grew up drinking them when I would do resistance training. They never tasted good then and still don't. Some are clearly better than others. I look forward to an egg!

64 ounces of water and 60 grams of Protein - Are you kidding?
My inclination is to come up short on the goals and go easy on the sleeve for sure. My surgery was 12/13 and while in the hospital I enjoyed the broth and jello they served. I did not know about the 60/64 goals and just sipped a little water during the day. Thanks for your help!!

That would be nice if the liquid in the shakes (mixing with water) counted. And the notion that this will get easier is very encouraging. Thanks!!!

64 ounces of water and 60 grams of Protein - Are you kidding?
So two days out of hospital I have had a big struggle trying to consume all the Water and Protein required. I'm using GNC Amp powdered prot which has 20 grams per scoop. Looks like I will finish the day at about 40 ounces of water and 50 grams of prot. Is that normal? That is more than yesterday but still below goal. And I have eaten no broth. I did take liquid Vitamins and two meds that had to be put in Jello. I just want to be sure I don't push to hard and cause a leak... but also know I need to stay hydrated and fuel the body. Help appreciated.

I was only on liquids the day before surgery. I think part of the rapid weight loss has to do with 5 or 10 pounds I gained in the month leading up to surgery.

In trouble!
Sounds like a good lesson for anyone who travels. Do you think it was the quantity of food you ate that caused the issue, the rate you consumed it, or how it was prepared? I imagine fish and chips as deep fried.

Sleeved Dec 13th. Lost 22 pounds since then. Can that be right?
I'm very happy and blessed to have this done and behind me. I researched this for 2 years. Now I'm 5 days out and can't believe how fast the weight has melted off. Wed 12-12-12 I was 342. Last night I was 318. That is 24 pounds in a matter of days... Crazy and a little scarry. Anyone else have that happen? Only negatives so far is that I have a serious cold that has made me cough alot which has been painful. Also, I had my first Protein yesterday and came home and had the runs. But I drank a concnetrated protein shot since we had a long drive home and that may have caused it. I'm really tired and trying to figure out how in the world I'm going to eat 60 grams of Prot and drink 8 cups of Water a day? I'm full the moment I drink water. Anyone? Thanks,
