  1. Thanks, Michelle! I'm do glad to hear more positive reviews!
  2. My procedure is only $4500 with " A Lighter Me", and having 2 GREAT coordinators . My coordinators have both been to TJ and had procedure. They are able to answer most questions. When they can't, they get the answer for me. I don't regret going through "A Lighter Me" at all. They've been wonderful.
  3. Check out " A Lighter Me". One big thing that I like about them is that the procedure is at actual hospital. They weren't pushy with me, trying to get me to commit. They were patient with all my tons of questions, and I could tell they cared. Was nice talking to people who have been there , and who have had procedure themselves.
  4. Oregon.... No, not as nervous about going alone, as I am about leaving my child with my Hubby while I'm gone... I've never been away from my baby. : ( Going to try not to cry when I go. Trying to focus on me being healthier and happier after I've lost the weight. I'll be a better Mommy, more willing to go outside and play ,etc.... I feel very good about the procedure.
  5. Thank you! I did a lot of research..... And, there is a $4500 summer special!!!! When I found that out, I felt like it was a sign for me to go ahead , and do it! Since having my 2 year old, I never do anything for myself. I use to be in great shape. But, the pregnancy , and a desk job for two years before that, took a hard toll on me. I can't wait to feel good about myself again! Let me know if you want more info... I'll give you my patient coordinator's email. I LOVE her, and trust her. She has been through a procedure in TJ, which helped me to feel at ease. I've been reading so much information , as well as reading many , many, many forums. I'm not telling my friends or family. I know they would flip out, about the procedure, and because it's in Mexico.... And, because I have a lower BMI than most who get the procedure, I know I'd hear a lot of criticism from friends and family. Getting nervous, but looking forward to feeling pretty, attractive again...
  6. Anyone had this doctor? Scheduled for the 27th.... I was told that Lopez is great. A little nervous, more and more each day , but looking forward to losing this weight! Thank you in advance. !
  7. I was wondering if we could eat crab legs ... How soon after can we have them? Going home two weeks after my procedure, and we all like to have crab legs at the casino buffet. Anything else good that you can suggest. My procedure will be the morning of the 27th. Thanks so much, and congrats on your amazing success!
  8. I'm trying to focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. This isn't easy for any of us. This pre-op diet, then the post -op.... Good Lord ! But, it'll be worth it for all of us! My Hubby will see that it isn't just a matter of having surgery, then magically losing weight. This will be hard work, and a major life style change, along with crazy power . I can't wait until I'm fitting into old clothes, and feeling good again . Wish I could fast forward to the good stuff. But, all this hard stuff will make me work harder to not allow myself to be fat again!! : ) Good luck to ALL of us! ~
  9. Wow! You have lost 27 pound in only a week? That's amazing! I'm hoping I can lose 20 pounds within a couple weeks. I have about 50-55 pounds to lose before I'm at my target weight. My procedure will happen on the 27th. Keep up the good work!
  10. Some people seem to think that losing weight is easy, and that all you have to do is diet, and exercise.... My Hubby is one of them. Although, I am so thankful that he agreed to pay for my upcoming procedure, July 27th, I know that he thinks it's insane, and drastic, that I am having SURGERY to lose weight. But, then, I also know that he looks at me differently since having our child, and gaining this weight. I'm a stay at home Mother of a rambunctious two year old. I have no time to exercise. My child is constantly under my feet, or glued to my side. I LOVE my child with all my heart, but, I can't focus on myself since becoming a Mother. I've tried losing weight other ways, and it doesn't work. Anyhow, my point is that I think many of us have partners who aren't as supportive as they could be. I'd love to go into my procedure feeling like he supported me. But, I know that isn't going to happen. I have decided to seek counseling for us to start on after the procedure. I know it will be good for us, and for me. People who aren't overweight don't understand the difficulty we face feeling huge, not wanting to go anywhere , etc... I pray my procedure goes well, and that I'm back to my happy, positive, outgoing person , the person I use to be before gaining all this weight. I know that family and friends are going to criticize and judge me. So, I'm not telling anyone . Good luck with your Husband. Reading these forums, I see that we aren't alone in having less than supportive spouses. Best of luck to all who have had the procedure, and to those who are going to have the procedure! : )
