Thanks for replying everyone! I think I will go for it. I already went to the clinic today to discuss the surgery and everything and the physician stated that there are several young people that have done it and he noticed that they recover faster.

Hi everyone. I'm been thinking about getting the vertical sleeve done. I have been thinking about it for the last few months and I'm 90% convinced I want it done. Obesity kinds of runs in my family. My brother, me and my mom are obese. However both my brother and my mom got the sleeve done nearly a year ago and they look amazing. The only thing I'm hesitant about is my age - I'm 19. My dad is kind of against the idea saying that I'm too young to get it done and stuff like that. But he did assure me that at the end the decision is mine. I'm 19 and I weigh 220 LBS. I have tried all different diets and everything but only for them to work and then fail. So should I go for it? and what will I expect after I get it done? Thanks!!
