  1. How can this happen already? I was doing great a total of 21 lbs the first two weeks. I weighed today and nothing. Im getting around 40 grams of protein and under 600 cal. I try to be as low fat as possible. My husband lost four pounds this week dieting off and on and I lose nothing with my little sleeve! Is it normal to stall this fast?
  2. Im two weeks out today and this is not a quick fix! I'm not physically hungry but I am head hungry. All though physically I can't eat but a small amount I have to choose those few bites very carefully. Everyday is still a choice. Do I eat my tuna salad or do I eat a piece of chocolate cake? So far so good. You still have to have the will power and the surgery helps with the amount you eat but not what you eat.
  3. Jeni, I wish I had that kind of strength!
  4. Just wondering from some of the others how long were you into your sleeved journey before you experienced your first stall and how long did it last?
  5. River Valley is where I live. We are neighbors Rootman!
  6. Thanks for all the encouragement. I'm feeling better this evening. Who knows what tomorrow will hold I'm gonna buckle up and be ready for this bumpy ride!
  7. I was self pay so there was one surgeon visit and one nut visit before my surgery. I've never had depression other than a dark period when my dad died in an accident. I have spent all that I have on the surgery so I guess I'll have to get my therapy here. I'll be ok it surely can't always feel like this.
  8. Almost two weeks out and very sad and depressed. I hate the way I'm feeling and I'm not the type of person to feel sorry for herself. Physically I couldn't ask to be any better, mentally i am a basket case !!

  10. That's alright my husband pastors a church of 200 that I stand in front of every Sunday and I've told very few. I didn't even tell my own Mom. It's not that I'm ashamed or ebarrased Its just not the right time. I hate the thought of being on stage every week and people wondering if and what I've lost.
  11. May 14th was my surgery. If feel physically fine but it's all the mental games. I've been having horrible mood swings. Something I've never had before. I guess I'm mourning food sounds stupid I know.
  12. I completely agree with your assessment of protein drinks. I'm not sure if it's acceptable or not but until I go back for my two week post op visit I've been drinking at least one or two cups of low fat chocolate milk. It has 2.5 fat and 8 grams of protein 160 cal.
  13. Love all the good, bad, and the ugly truths....thanks everyone.
  14. I'm just wondering. I was sleeved on May 14th and I'm an emotional wreck but I expected this in the beginning. What about you that have some sleeved time under your belt. Do you have regrets?
  15. It's kinda funny my husband pastors a church and I've told very few but I've managed to tell the whole youtube world. I guess I feel like people that don't know me don't count. Lol
  16. IM addicted to watching all of those YouTube blogs. They have been very helpful to me. It exciting watching people shrink before your eyes. It's also encouraging to see all the success. I was sleeved on May 14th and I've lost 19 pounds. I'm super excited, but this hasn't been a walk in the park. I started a video blog on YouTube under gacrowder and I think it is going to help keep me accountable. Does anyone else video blog?
