I know this is an old post but I wanted to update the info out there. While Dr F will do a VSG, he is not comfortable with it as a WLS, prefers RnY and GB. He also uses 60FR bougies - way too big IMO. According to his stats on OH as of today 4/28/12 he's only done 9 VSG surgeries. Why use him when you can use someone with more experience, who can give you a tighter sleeve, and who believes in the surgery as a WL tool. Dr. F thinks it's too new and in his experience, it doesn't work. And he's way, way expensive. Mexicali probably cost about 1/4 of what you would of paid had you had it done with Dr F.
