I am 37 years old the mother of 5 kids, ages 21,20,18,15,and 10. I have not always been overweight, it wasn't until after my fourth child and an extremely tough relationship that i started to gain weight. I put on weight so fast and i dieted over and over...the vicious cyle of lose some gain more. I became intersted in the lap band surgery when a co-worker had it done. I looked up our local hospital to check out if this was something I could have done. After the infromation session I decided I didn't want the lap band because of problems of slipping the fills, etc. so I thought the sleeve would be a great option for me. I started this journey August 2011 and my surgery is on June 5, 2012. I can't believe it is finally here.
