  1. This post made me feel so good. I am a slow loser too. My surgery was 4/2/12 and I have only lost 40 lbs. I workout every day and I know I am eating the right amount of protein. I track everything on My Fitness Pal. Still the pounds are not dropping off of me. The good news is I am not having any hair loss issues. I know my body is fighting to hang on to the weight which just confirms to me that I would not have lost these pounds without surgery. I saw the doctor last week and he said my weight loss was right on track. Still it is so helpful to read that others are in the same boat as me. Thanks again for sharing your story.
  2. I went back to work one week after surgery. I drove three days after surgery. I was tired at work but by the third day I felt back to normal. I am 56 years old and have a pretty active job along with a half hour train commute into NYC. I probably could have milked the time off for another week but I am so glad I didn't take extra time off. I told my co-workers that I was taking a vacation week.
  3. I am scheduled for surgery on 4/2 and after six months of planning I am suddenly freaking out and wondering if I have made the right choice. Reading your post has really given my the confidence to know that I have made the right decision. I am so happy for you that it is working so well. I hope to have a equally good posting in a couple of weeks. Keep up the good work and know that your words are very helpful to others.
