**Looking for banded folks in The Woodlands, TX** There is a group of us that meet for coffee once a month at the Starbucks in the Panther Creek Village. Our next get together will be Saturday, June 14th at 10:00am. There are already 5 folks that have said they can come. I was wondering if anyone uses Dr. Wilkenfeld in The Woodlands? I was banded by Dr. Spivak, but my 1 year of free fills is coming up so I'm looking to switch to an office that is closer. (I live in Sterling Ridge) I have verified with their office that they do take transfers but would really like to hear from folks that go to that office for fills about their experience. Are the nurses good? The office staff? Do the nurses do fills or the Drs.? (I'm fine with the nurses doing it) Can you get in and out quickly/easily? Any feedback you can give is greatly appreciated! Or if anyone knows of other Drs. in The Woodlands that take transfer patients I would love to get that info. Perhaps at Memorial Hermann, etc. Thanks much! -Rachel

Just a reminder that the WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) Support Group at Memorial Herrman is meeting THIS Wednesday. This is for BOTH bypass and Lap-Band patients. Last meeting there were more band patients than RNY, so don't feel like you can't come! I am planning to attend! I used Spivak and have no complaints about him or his office or staff. I'm almost 1 year post op and actually have an appt to see him tomorrow to touch base. Hope that helps. -Rachel

Sharon, I'm not familiar with Jersey Village. Is that anywhere near Spring/The Woodlands? If so, there is a meeting once a month at the Memorial Herrman Hospital in The Woodlands that I can send you info on. Also, a group of us in/near The Woodlands have just started meeting once/month on a Saturday at the Starbucks in the Panther Creek Village which I can send you info on too if you're interested. I am coordinating a very informal get together for anyone who would like to come. Hey gang! I haven't posted in awhile. Everyone is doing so GREAT! I'm truely impressed with everyone's success! As of today I'm weighing in around 171 lbs. Down 65 lbs and man does it feel good! Wearing a size 14 jean comfortably. Been overweight for 7 years (since 2nd kid was born). So it's feeling good to get back down near my "normal" weight. Still wanna lose more. Want to be at my goal weight before or by my 1 year anniversary. I think I can do it. Just 20 - 25 more pounds for me. I bought some size 12 capris that are already out in the stores. I could get them on but they were snug and I had the 'ol muffin top. Need to lose another 10 or so pounds before I'd feel comfortable wearing them in public. But I should be able to do that by the time the weather gets to where I'd want to wear them. Well, that's it for me. Take care! -Rachel
