Hi I was told the same thing to bring my cpap machine with me. That is my goal is to get off oxygen and my cpap. How much weight have you lost? I can't wait to lose lbs so that happens!

That is GREAT!!! I was hoping I would lose 20lbs on my pre-op diet but so far I have only lost 5lbs in a week I have 1 more week to go. I have my surgery on monday the 27th can't wait!!!

My surgery is the 27th also! I have been on my pre-op since last sunday. My Dr. requires 2 week I can have 5 protien shakes and 2 cups of veggies and sf jello or sf popsickle that is it. It hasn't been to bad the first day was the hardest. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

So how is it on day 8? I'm day 4 and its not to bad. My surgery is Aug.27th I'm excited too!! That's to bad you have to start a new job only 2 weeks after I was lucking and got 6weeks off. I hope your healed enough and its a office job. Good luck!! keep us posted!!!!

Good luck on approval. I know my niece just had gastric bypass and she didn't have to do a pre-op diet at all. She is have the head hunger now so I think its probley a good idea to have a pre-op diet just to get your body use to not eating. I'm on day 4 and its not to bad I'm hoping to loss 10lbs at least! I'm not sure if I would or not I would for sure say away from fat and stick to high protein and just don't over eat.

I'm using BetterMD protien shakes I had to order it though my Dr. It don't taste to bad 5 shakes a day and there is a fiber drink or make it into jello 1 time at night. I'm on day 4 its getting easier.

So I started my pre-op diet this morning. I'm starving I hope I can get though this for 2 weeks. Why is it some people don't have to do a 2 week diet? My niece only had 1 day of pre-op diet don't understand why some dr's requires 1day and some do 2 weeks. I know I have to srink my liver but really does it really take 2 weeks to do it?

That is good to hear. I have to do the BetterMD my dr requires it. I orderd it today I just want to be ready. Had a lot of running around today with all the paper work for work now hope I don't have any trouble with that. I know my boss will try to deny my time off work. But I'm going to go over head if she does.

Yeah!!! Finely got my surgery date!! Aug.20th. Have to start my pr-op diet Aug.5th I'm worried about that I just hope it goes fast. Called BC/BS make sure everything is covered. I have to order my pre-op diet my Dr. requires its called BetterMD has anyone haved it? I just hope it taste ok. That is the only thing that I'm worried about getting though that. Please if anyone has any tips for me let me know. Belinda

Thanks Lori for the info!! I did hear that the faster you get up and walk the better you feel. So on the pre op diet you can have SF popsicles and SF Jello? What are the best shakes to buy? Hi Lori!! I'm having Dr. Farhan also! I have heard good things about him. So how is the pre-op diet? What can I eat? I'm having my surgery in Aug. hopefully the first week. Jennifer at hurley don't have Aug dates ready. I'm getting so exticed. I'm from Birch Run not to far away from you. I have family that lives in Saginaw. and worked there for 6years at St Marys. Its nice to find someone close that had the same Dr. Well I just want to stop by and say hi and ask a few questions. Thanks. Belinda
