  1. Well im a 44 year old male, I say with more than my share of Obese related illnesses. My starting weight was 294 my weight now is 273. I just got the call from the hospital if the sun comes up next Wed. the 19th im having my sleeve. Everyone including my wife cant understand why im having weight loss surgery. I was a cop for 25 years. Im not what you would call a heavy guy to look at me im really "thick" Ive always ran and lifted weights but things are getting harder and harder to do with all my medical problems. Im not very happy with myself and mostly just sad. Reading the members post have really helped me through this 8 month process and I truly see happiness around the corner again for me I have researched all types of doctors and WLS as well as doctors, Dr Scott, I hope is the best in my state, has anyone been sleeved by Dr Scott. Yqall wish me luck Wed.
  2. Due to my bad knees and back I dont climb steps or shop at malls. I love to people watch however so I agreed to shop with a girl. I climbed step and walked probably an hour and a half, no problems what so ever got my people watching fix and exercise to boot. THIS SLEEVE IS THE THING, best choice ive made in my 44 years. ts been 11 days and I feel great and other than my gas problem earlier its been a breeze. My lifes changing and the sky is the limit.
  3. I was sleeved 10/19/11 since that and the 2 weeks prior I have lost 34lbs. Prepare for awful gas, and possible upset stomach but I have no problem with drinking or eating really except I have no desire to eat, its all gone which is a beautiful thing. As for the 10lbs with those protein shakes as meal replacements it simple otherwise, Prayer alot of Prayer.

Well after 2 years of trying to have my surgery I finally had it, it was uneventful thank God. t took an hour longer than expected cause of some scar tissue had after being stabbed when I was a cop. But other than nausea and a small amount of pain I really feel great. Ive eaten only a small amount of pureed food because It did hurt somewhat but ive been drinking shakes instead. Im home with my family yes im a bit irritable but not to bad, lets just pray I have the same luck as most of you.
