  1. I'm so sorry insurance won't pay. I just now got on UHC & am looking into having the surgery (if they pay). Keep up good hopes while you diet & exercise! That is what I'm doing!
  2. Why did you chose this kind of surgery? I'm not sure if my insurance covers it yet but busy on researching on which surgery I want. Thank you for sharing your reasons.... ~Kelly (Richardson, Tx)
  3. Thanks for starting this thread! My DH's co. just got UHC Choice Plus & I was all excited that lap band would be covered but I'm realizing it depends on what his co. chose on plans. Ugh! I'll just have to dare myself on asking his HR about this. He has a small co. (under 100 ppl). I was so excited that we got off BCBS in hopes so I could have this surgery.
  4. Thank you for the welcomes! I have heard about Richard Benavides in Richardson. I plan to attend one of their group meetings once my insurance kicks in in May.
  5. Hi! My husbands work is changing insurance back to UHC & I'm so excited! I thought about lapband but that was right after I had my first child & was scared to go through it. Now that we're getting back on the insurance & I'm done having children I want to go through with it - if insurance lets me. Hoping to use this board as an educational tool & learn to be more confident with this procedure. ~Kelly
