I just called my insurance company (BCBS) of Minnesota to ask if they covered the sleeve. The said no and that it was investigational. I have heard from other people that this can be appealed. Does anybody know what BCBS requires for surgery. Do they have a 6 month diet, etc. Thanks for your help

I live by the Willmar area and am attending my first seminar on June 21. I am not sure if insurance will cover this or not, but going to try. I have had gastric banding done about 5 years ago and am as heavy now as when I first had it done. I am going to go to Park Nicollette for my seminar.

I am just starting the research anndam attending my first seminar on June 21 at Park Nicolette. Is your insurance covering all of this or don''t you know. What part of Minnesota are you from. I live close to Willmar, MN am just looking for in state support.

I am just starting the whole process, but I was hoping to find out if BCBS in Minnesota will pay for this. Have you got any answers yet? What doctor did you pick at park nicollet. I am also looking in to that hospital.
