I was sleeved on 7-18-11 and I was told by my surgeon to only walk for the first 6 weeks.

Update!!!! I just got the phone call that I was approved!!!!! My medical packet was recieved by my insurance company on 5-20-2011...So it actually took them 3 weeks to approve me. I was very impatient and angry that it was taking so long, but I am speechless now. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I will start my 2 week pre-op diet on 7-5-2011 and my surgery is scheduled for 7-18-2011. I will keep you all updated on my journey.

I have BCBS Fepblue TX. I hope I do not have to wait for an approval. I was in the military where they had me in the Army Weight Loss Program for 4 months. Unfortunately, that did nothing for me except for the ups and downs. Hopefully my insurance will take this in consideration and use this as my 3 months of monitored diet. My medical packect is being submitted today. I am crossing my fingers. My BMI is 37.9 and I have sleep apnea w/ daytime somnolence. So hopefully I will be one of the lucky ones that will not have to go through the horrors of have to prove myself to the insurance company.
