    I myself, have been "shopping around". I live in Miami and the VSG runs from $14,500 to $20,000. This does not include the price for the endoscopy you need prior to surgery and preop testing. Recently I stumbled across Dr. Guillermo Alvarez's website and have been curious, yet skeptical about getting my surgery out of the country. The price is a little less than $9000 with EVERYTHING included EXCEPT the airfare. I am currently still doing my research....I'll keep you guys posted on what I finally decide to do. Although the price for Dr. Alvarez is might tempting.
