  1. I went of of soda, after drinking it for 25 plus years. I read an article that a lady ended up in the emergency room after drinking Diet Coke , after her Sleeve Surgery. I cut it out three weeks before my surgery. It was difficult, but I survived ,and now I don't have any desire to drink it. I have Crystal light, water , or juice. ( the juice I water down because it tastes to sweet to me. In fact everything tastes to sweet. I don't like breakfast so I have a Sugar free Instant Breakfast, and I only have Lunch and Dinner. Sometimes I have another Instant Breakfast and add Low fat Yogurt to it. It keeps me from over eating on those days I feel more hungry. I try not to snack at all. I still keep string cheese, Cottage Cheese, around for those days that I really have to have something before a mealtime. Those are just some suggestions. I really have craved tomato based foods since my surgery, so I keep V8 in my fridge, and tomato soup in the cupboard. I try to stay away from Chips and such. I haven't even tried them yet. Best of luck to ya.

Six and a half weeks out

I am right there with ya. I am also seven weeks out. I really hate to go out to eat. I waste so much food . I am learning to either get side orders of things, and they are still to much. I , like you still haven't purchased new clothes. I have bought one pair of jeans. I was getting to where I thought if I breathed in I would lose my pants.Eating at this point seems over rated. I have to remind myself to eat. I am still trying one new food a day , to see how I like it. I haven't been brave enough to try a Hamburger or anything like that. I try to stay with white meat and Fish. Be happy for yourself, after all We deserve it. I know I am always looking out for everyone else. I have to remind myself that It is ok to be a little selfish, and be glad that I am making an effort to be healthy and Happy. Sometimes, I have a hard time when people tell me I look good. It feels weird to me. Hang in there my friend, there is only better things to come. It is really exciting in many ways. Best of luck and Health to you.
