  1. Hello all! I am very excited for this Friday, but also a little nervous. Will I wake up in a lot of pain? Will I feel completely different when I wake up? I just want to be prepared for when I get up. I am not too nervous yet, so hopefully that stays that way lol. I honestly can't imagine myself losing a lot of weight, its very surreal to me. But yeah more than anything I am wondering how I will feel when I wake up and the days following. Thanks in advance for any of your input! :confused1:
  2. Dr. Prokurat & Dr. Noyan @ CentraState Hospital. Were you able to bring your own cpap machine? I know my dad can't use the machine because he can't breathe through his nose, but now they have an oral cpap machine. Maybe that would work better.
  3. Hello, my father and I are having our surgery same day in Freehold, NJ on September 3rd. He is getting nervous cuz our surgeon just left a message for him and wanted to speak to him regarding his pulmonary letter. His heart and lungs are all fine. Everything came back good, except the fact that he has sleep apnea. What do you think the doctor wants to tlak to him about? Is sleep apnea dangerous to have when going under anesthesia? Someone please help us out! He is so nervous to begin with and I hope the doctor doesn't make it worst with telling him the apnea is going to make is surgery more risky. Anyone go through this or have it done with sleep apnea? Please help!
  4. Hello all! I just found out that my surgery will be done on September 3rd by Dr. Noyan and Dr. Prokurat at CentraState Hospital in Freehold NJ. I am only 27 years old so I am so happy I am putting an end to this unhealthy lifestyle right now. I am starting to get a little nervous about the surgery and if I will be in any pain afterwards. Does anyone have any good information regarding post op or what I should expect as far as the surgery and anything else? I pretty much just looking for some people to just vent with and see how everyone else's experiences have been. I cannot wait! Thank you in advance for your support. Christie :thumbup1:
