  1. If you want coffee/mocha/cappucino/java, then look no further than Click protein espresso powder! It is flippin' amazing and super versatile AND is the equivalent of 2 shots of espresso for every serving! It has 12g protein per serving which isn't much but then I never use it as my sole protein powder in a shake. Not really being a coffee person I use it more as an ingredient rather than the star; I use a serving of chocolate protein powder, a half serving of Click, a tiny splash of a torani syrup, topped with SF whipped cream, with some cinnamon or bitter cocoa powder tapped across the top. Arranged prettily in a Starbucks reusable to-go cup, it's just as good if not better than the real thing!
  2. It would be great if there could be a meeting in Lawrence, KS? Maybe once a week or every 2 weeks.
  3. I PUT ON MY CHEERLEADING UNIFORM FROM HIGH SCHOOL!!!! Wow! I wasn't able to zip or button the skirt and it didn't quite cover my behind lol, but I still got it on and I was able to completely button the shell (uniform top). That really means something to me because even though I felt chubby at the time, since then I have known that I looked really good back then and have always considered in hindsight for that to have been my "thin" period. New goal - to get that skirt to zip and button by HALLOWEEN!!!! =P
  4. I think maybe method of preparation could be a factor, I do okay with grilled dogs but not dogs fried on a flat top or boiled. A regular sized dog ran through the garden Chicago-style but without the bun, I can eat half, then the other half 30 minutes later. Nathan's are good, as are Hebrew National and Boarshead light.
  5. I'm just so SO angry right now, I want to punch and cry and kick and scream, for so many reasons. I'm angry about losing my job, I'm angry about still being goddamn fat, and I'm SO ANGRY at losing the ... idea/assumption/hope that I would have the choice to bear children or not. That makes me ANGRY, I am SO ANGRY. Sure, there are surgeries out there to correct my malformed uterus, which just brings me right back around to the anger over money - my not being wealthy is now going to preclude me from bearing children, nauseating. And nobody around me gives a $h!t, not that they should, but everyone is so glad it's not them (this time) at work, they can't be bothered to show more than relief that it's me not them. People I thought were friends suddenly can't return phone calls, now that I don't have a brag-worthy job. And I just CANNOT listen to my well meaning Mother natter on with her perky little platitudes, I'm not ready to hear that kind of positivity. And I'm angry for everything else, for my life, for my shitty genetics, for parents who used the excuse of my being so smart to not bother helping me with anything so that I had to educate myself on everything because they are so COMPLETELY IGNORANT, I'm angry angry angry! And I HATE BEING FAT, HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE. thanks for listening.
  6. I'm starting to wonder if the naysayers might have been right about a few things, I'm starting to wonder if we screwed ourselves royally by spending so much time on such severe diets and now, like anorexics, we have destroyed our metabolisms to the point where we are now required to be on severe diets the rest of our lives or risk seeing gain where a healthy normal person wouldn't. =( =(
  7. Hey Blackberry - you started this thread over 2 months ago, how's Paleo going now? Sleevemeup - Tara's Whey is an all natural, organic, fair-trade etc. etc. protein powder. The dark chocolate one is really delicious, it's just like Ghirardelli cocoa powder! Blackberry, that story of the wierdos and marzipan is great, but also scary! I almost feel like that guy was "casing" you, like him and his gf were lurking for ... something! eep! I'm still crossfitting btw, although between having the flu and going on vacation I haven't been to the gym for more than gentle yoga in .. 4 weeks, cripes! I'm actually afraid to return to crossfit, it will be so painful, but I miss it terribly. Also, I have a question that may be indelicate so private msg me if it is - how did paleo, and then cheating, affect your um, digestion?? Any issues?
  8. So, I know I am a big talker and have mentioned this before but have never done it properly, the 10 day pouch test. Is there anyone interested in doing this with me? We could message privately, mapping out exactly what and when we will be drinking our shakes, etc. I really feel the need to do this but know that I cannot do it alone, whaddya say, who's with me?
  9. Anything. It is your birthday and you can't eat anything. =) When were you sleeved? There are a world of yummy protein shake possibilities out there.
  10. Hey all, I am a sleever living in Lawrence, approaching my 2 year surgiversary. I was sleeved in CA but have lived here for a year and would very much like the support of real people, much as I love the VST forum, having a diet/health/fitness buddy in real life can't be beat. Hit me up if any of you are interested!
  11. I am a sleever, nearly 2 years out, and am in Lawrence, KS if any of you want to start chatting and support =)
  12. Thank you for all the info, I am still working my sleeve and still have faith in it - I'm sure many of us have that fear no matter how unreasonable, that we might gain everything back and then some, so it is reassuring to hear that were my wonderful new healthful routines to somehow start failing me, there is backup.
  13. Yes thank you I am aware of the need to eat healthfully etc etc etc. My question was whether or not anybody has heard of ppl basically getting re-sleeved. I guess from the dearth of responses, the answer is no.
  14. Has anyone ever heard whether or not the VSG can be tightened up if over the years it has stretched? I don't mean a revision with a different kind of surgery, I mean just a VSG rejuvenation, say if a few years have passed and your stomach can now hold 10 oz when post op it held only 3.
  15. Wow, why are you so medicated? Also, that seems like a wide variety of "hard" foods to be eating at only 5 weeks out, at 5 weeks I was still on very soft mushies and protein shakes, I didn't hear you mention eating anything like that. You just had major invasive surgery, could be that your body is just still raw and wants to recover gently but hasn't been given the opportunity.
  16. Hah, champagne problems, can't wait for those! I wear anything from a 10 to a 14 depending on the cut and manufacturer, I could probably still wear LB, sadly.
  17. Nannie G, wouldn't eating little then eating a lot just make the body think it is in pre-aggrarian times of boom and bust, therefore hang on to every little bit o fat it can? At nearly 2 years out the only real non-slider foods I have left are broiled chicken breast no skin, and raw greens. Eggs are still tricky, sometimes they slide right down and I can eat 2 or 3, other times one bite and I feel the danger. Worse than slider foods is my acid production, if I don't take my prevacid then I will subconciously eat/graze to stave off the acid pain and when I do that I can eat a LOT.
  18. Hey all, I've been on vacation the past week and so off the grid of technology - this vacation was bought before I found out about my job so I "had" to enjoy it, which I did, but at the same time I knew what I had to come back to so ... The boyfriend and I went to the coast of Northern California, a supremely beautiful and tranquil place and my work pants are disturbingly snug. However, and this isn't an excuse, now that I am on Mirena my pre-TOM is so pronounced it is like being pregnant every month! I am most definitely NOT pregnant (tested and everything) but I get morning sickness, super-strength nose power, painful breasts, super bloat, and emotions ALL over the map. I'm so upset over my weight (non) loss I'm ready to just stop eating and live off Protein powder. I'm willing to admit here in this safe place that I have once or twice stuck my finger down my throat just out of sheer misery regarding food choices. =( =( I'm panicking like a wild bird struggling in a net.
  19. No, no lil' globetrotters, and yes I do have my GB still.
  20. I am almost 2 years out and in the past month I have noticed nausea after I eat, regardless of what it is. Once I even threw up. Health is good, labs normal. Just ate around 3 oz roast chicken for lunch, 30 min later a wave of nausea.
  21. I understand Mini, but I have tried all of the above, from absolutely not tracking to reverting to post-op diet to everything in between. I alternate crossfit and yoga for 5 days a week, I stay around 1000 cals. Its Bu!!$hit.
  22. Well I can complain >:[, do you know how much I wish I weighed 122?!! I'm 5'3" and the lowest I've gotten was 164 during a gallbladder attack 5 months ago. I think I'm about 173 atm, afraid to get on a scale. After almost 2 years of this to still not be at goal is a ***king bitter pill to swallow ...
  23. So I've gone through some difficulties recently; my position at my job was eliminated, I thought I was deploying so didn't renew my lease on my house so am now going to be out of a place to live, reproductive issues and a chipped tooth. That's a lot of stress and anxiety and worry and I'm starting to eat over it. The weekend after I found out about my job my house and my uterus I bought a loaf of bread and ate toast with butter for 3 days straight until I finished the loaf. I also had a bad case of flu 3 weeks ago and haven't gotten back into the swing of things at the gym. And someone I thought was a good friend hasn't bothered to show any care or interest and I think she is going to drop my friendship now that she can't brag about my job anymore. It's a lot, I feel fat flabby bloated and weak.
  24. humph, talk to me when your stall is at 5 months, like mine!
  25. In all my time as a sleever, nearly 2 years, I have never done this; what would happen if for say 10 days, a person ate zero carbs? Or, as close to zero as is possible, say less than 10 grams a day. Basically lived off of protein shakes make with water and plain protein. 1 hour exercise per day. What would happen? Just curious.
