  1. Had my surgery 8/4/10. All is good, down fifteen pounds in 10 days..sweet!
  2. I am about 1 1/2 weeks out and I am having trouble falling and staying asleep. I am still in the recliner chair because when I lay down or on my side I have a "pulling" feeling in my abodomen that bothers me. I started taking 3/4 of a tylenol PM around 8:30 so I am not in a coma in the morning. I sure hopes this passes soon and that I can sleep in my bed.
  3. Hi Jen, I had my surgery the same day you did. I ended up having a drain and spending an extra night in the hospital due to severe nausea. I find I get get my best rest in a recliner. I did get into to my bed this morn for a couple of hours but I was too sore and had to move. Now I am going to try to get down some protien drink, I have not been sucessfull at that yet. To day is a new day!!
  4. I am sorry to hear that. I know it's mentally frustrating. I completed all my pre-op work, lost my 10% on 05/12 and when I went to my appt to schedule I was told the scheduler was gone until 06/07. Knocked the wind right out of my sails. I am trying hard to stay motivated and not gain any weight. Good luck to you!
  5. Thank you. That is good to know about the sleeve not streaching out as much. Looks like it worked great for you!
  6. Thank you. I looks like you are doing great! Keep it up!
  7. I have 3 lbs. to lose be fore I can schedule for surg. I have an appt with the dietician on 05/11. If I can shed the 3 lbs by then she will send me to the scheduler. My surgeon said I need to make the decsion between the two. I am leaning toward VSG. My main reasons for not wanting to do RNY are future complications with mal-absorbtion. Not to concerned with dumping ( seems like a check balance), although it does not sound fun. As far as gaing weight back is one more sucessful than the other? Anyone have insight on why you choose VSG?
