Welcome! We are glad to have you! I get so excited when I see how successful so many people are....I am still waiting for my band. So, all of you are my inspiration.
  2. Can I watch? I will be the cheer leader! GoBanders! Go! Rah Rah Rass kick 'em in the .... ? Oh, hell-what do I know about being a cheer leader?
  3. I'm so happy for you!
  4. Betty, I have a black leather fringy coat that I am going to be wearing 50 pounds from now. I will be posting a very HOT picture then!!!! I will even wear those jeans that I am holding on to!
  5. LOL But I thought this was the exercise channel? umm thread? Well, if you chapettes don't mind, I am going to say that I exercised two, count them, two days in a row at curves!
  6. That is sooo true! I really look forward to getting my band and crossing over! I've actually thought about TRYING to eat like I already had it and see what happens but then I think, " When I get the band I won't be able to eat this or that-plus I would probably be really hungry!" Brit(my daughter)and I have started sharing plates when we go out-it's amazing but we both get plenty to eat and we save money!
  7. Wow Kate! That is great loss! YOU TOO PAM! I weigh 225 and wear a 22-24! You must be tall-well....everyone is tall compared to me! I carry a great deal of my weight in my tummy. When pants fit my butt, I still have about 6 inches between the button and the button hole!!!! Of course any weight I lose NEVER comes off of my tummy-the question is usually, "where did my butt go?!"
  8. Veronica! That is so wonderful! How exciting!
  9. Marie! You are beautiful. It is so nice to put a face to the sweet person I have grown to love. Thanks for all you do!
  10. What fun! Wish I could have been there! Next time! :Bunny
  11. I was telling my mom about this thread and how I LMAO at it. After telling her about some of the funnies-She told me a story that she hadn't told anyone. She has a chinese pug puppy-about 3months old. Anyways- mom was laying on the couch and the puppy was laying at her feet. Mom ripped a silent but probably DEADLY one and the dog ran up her night gown and sniffed her butt before she could stop it!! I laughed so hard when she told me-Had to share! When I told her I was going to tell yall she said," No, don't someone might know who she is." I reassured her that I would leave out names "to protect the innocent" but we all know that anyone that reads this thread will not do anything but laugh!
  12. This is such great info! I am going to start now! I've noticed that I really gravitate toward certain foods for different moods but never had a plan. What a wonderful idea!
  13. Leatha and Michelle- have you heard about the MICRO ports? When I went to a lap-band seminar a few months ago, they talked about how some people have more problems with their ports sticking out or being uncomfortable as the weight comes off and can now choose to have the ports exchanged.
  14. I will not be adding any weights for some time. I have added plenty over the years that I am forced to carry-I sure as He** am not going to CHOOSE to carry around any more than I already have!
  15. PS. I was refering to the above statments! Too Funny!~
  16. Boob collage!!!!LOL Hey! I was ready to compare mine, too! I've never been small and after nursing 3 babies and the fact that I HATE wearing a bra around the house hasn't helped! If I sag now-what in the He** am I going to look like if I lose 100 pounds? Short, Skinny and Saggy-Hey, My husband might start calling me SHAGGY instead of Curly sue.
  17. Yes! I definately have alot to be thankful for. Sometimes it's so hard to see the good when times are tough. At least with Steven having a job and my family helping we don't have to move right now. I think I am going to have the money for my COBRA and house payments! The thought of losing my health insurance after everything I have been through to get my band was really upsetting me. Hey! another "good" thing for my list- This is really cool. When I was a kid I had two sweet friends(they were sisters) that I went to church with in Midland, Texas until I graduated from high school. I haven't seen them in years. Well, when I get on the school web site a few days ago to see if there were any sub positions available, I noticed a name that looked familiar. This person had the same name as my friends younger sister. I just had to ask.....I emailed her and sure enough, she was their sister-AND-her older sister worked at the school, too!! Is that awesome or what! I have probably subbed at that school 8 or 9 times this year! It's a small world! I am so excited that I might get to see them again! I have been praying that God would bring a good Christian friend into my life-someone that I could really connect with. God is good! (also on my list) All three of them are in the area and two of them are teachers in the district that I really want to teach in!! Neat huh?! :banana :banana :banana :banana :banana
  18. Thanks all! Little up date: Hubby got a job, starts Monday. Less pay but better benifits(sp?) We are going to struggle some for a while but with the help of family and friends we are working things out. I feel much better.
  19. undefinedundefinedWell,I talked to my doctors office yesterday( Dr.Cribbons, Plano Presby Hospital. They had sent my request to the insurance via certified mail about two weeks ago and have still not received acknowledgement that the letter had been received. The office is in Dallas and so they should have receive the request the next day. Doc's office said they are going to resubmit again today. I just want to get it over with. Do any of you have this insurance? If so, what was your experience? Thanks!
  20. Hey Blossum! We all need to get together! Did you ever say who did your surg? I forget.
  21. Penni-hope you are feeling better soon. I understand your frustration! Did the doc say how long you would be down? Last week, I exercised 1-2 times a day at Curves and then Friday night, I did something and hurt my hip. I couldn't lift my leg! I couldn't get in bed without help. All I could think was "dang! I hope I don't gain any weight back!" But-I am better now and carefully did my routine this morning -skipping the machines that might hurt my hip. I'm afraid to get on the scales!
  22. Welcome Tanna and gfc! I hope to see the two of you here often! Marie- I chatted with Lisa the other day. She has actually drives down the road my grandad lives on all the time. My dad grew up in Cleveland and so I spent most of my summers down there. If Steven and I have to move, we will be moving to Kingwood and visiting my G.dad alot! I am definately going to try to meet Lisa "face to face" next time I get down that way. Maybe we could all meet then? Leatha-thanks for getting back with me. I am so sorry to hear you had that happen. You are doing better now right? Well, I am subbing today so I better go.
  23. My husband was checking the email-he asked, "was does this mean You subscribed to a thread entitled - Burping & farting? I thought you were getting information and support from that place?" LOL I love it!!!! Hey Lisa! When I was in high school, the kid at my church were always having burbing contests. I never could get out anything more than a pathetic hic-up sound-even when REALLY burbing. Then, when I got pregnate with my first child, all those attempted and saved up burbs started coming! My Ex-husband used to tell me it's better to get it out now and save wear and tear on the other end! HEE HEE HEE!
  24. What a cutie!
  25. Mindi-Welcome! You've come to the right place for info, support, and a great time! Glad you are here.
