  1. Chest Pain???

    I had my VSG on Nov 5 2009 and I still have chest pain at time. The gas from your belly might be gone after 24 hours but you will have gas for many months if not forever. I am just over two months post-op and I have gas all the time. The best thing to do is WALK. Burp it out and you will feel better. I get chest pains if I drank too quickly or too much. It will fad with time but it doesn't always go away completely. Down the road, I would also suggest using Gas-X, it helped me with the gas as well. Hope you get some relief! Laurin
