Hi, I'm new here but have been reading the posts for a couple of weeks. Had my visit with the Doc on Friday. He wants to do the VSG cause I was not able to lose the 50lbs he wanted me to for the RYN (diets don't work for me I told him if it was that easy to lose 50lbs why would I be seeing him in the first place). Anyhow waiting to see if insurance (Principal) will pay for the VSG then they will set the date. I've been going through hoops since February as the insurance made me see a nutritionist for 6 months before they would consider approval so it's been a long and frustrating haul. I hope I get approved and a date can be set before this year ends I don't want to go into 2010 still waiting to do this. The notion that this might be the beginning of a new journey for me is both exciting and scary. They want me to do a 1200 calorie liquid diet right now but I'll wait to see if I get approved and we have a date set as that will give me something to focus on. Looking for support and encouragement.
