  1. Good to hear from both of you! I do intend to keep in touch with both of you. I doubt I can be very helpful, but I will be as supportive as possible. I am a good listener anyway lol! Keep in touch!
  2. Awwww, sip sip sip is all I can say. Maybe ice chips? I can only tell you what I read on here unfortunately . I saw Carla last week on the the day of the snow storm. I live up in Blairstown, so it is an hours drive. Just made it home as the snow was really hitting, thank goodness they called me in earlier! That was visit 4 of 6, so almost there! I go for my psch eval this Thursday, and the trans nasal endoscopy next week (15th). It is all coming together. Now if my insurance company plays nice, I am looking at a March/April surgery date. Keep me posted! I was thinking of you a lot and had to check up on you
  3. I have UHC myself. Not sure of course which plan you have, but UHC is very strict. I would call UHC directly if I were you. For bariatric services UHC requires that you go thru United Resource Networks. They will also tell you your requirements, like if you need a 6 month diet, Bmi, etc. also, out network is not cheap, call UHC!!!
  4. Sandi I have an idea for you. I ordered unflavored protein powder from Unjury. Maybe if u had it, You could sprinkle it into your drinks so you will get your fluids and protein at the same time. Just an idea for ya ????. If you don't have it, they deliver fast.
  5. I hope you feel better very soon too! I was curious about the hernia because besides yourself, I see a ton of people on various forums and Facebook that have one fixed during their surgery.
  6. Question.... Can they diagnose a hernia from the endoscopy, or is it a suprise once they get in there?
  7. I am not being put to sleep because I am driving. From what everyone says it is just uncomfortable. I can deal for 10 minutes.....though probably a long 10 minutes to me lol lol. I was told I can watch the procedure as well. To me that is fascinating ????
  8. Well now I have 2 friends on here who have my doc. You two are ahead of me, so don't get mad if I ask a lot of questions. It's funny I can't wait for the surgery.......the trans nasal endoscopy in two weeks...not so much!! Lol!
  9. Nice to meet another fellow patient! I have a couple months to go with my required supervised diet, but so far I also have no complaints. Is the app called MedXCom?
  10. Thanks Harlem! I will just knock the doctor out if it hurts lol lol!! Sounds like it is just plain uncomfortable! I want to watch the procedure and they said I can if I am awake. This stuff fascinates me, weird I guess lol!
  11. Lol! Looking forward to gross spray, yuck!! Oh well, it goes fast, I suppose!
  12. Looking for anyone that has had a trans nasal endoscopy. I have mine scheduled in a couple weeks. Getting nervous.
  13. I am new to the forum...posting in it that is. I also am a patient of Dr Nusbaum. Still in pre-op stages, but so far so good. 3 months down, 3 to go!
