  1. I will be four weeks out as of Tuesday. Haven't started exercising yet bc I want to go to the gym and right at the moment I am without a car and I have to rely on other people. However I do have the biggest loser game for the wii so until then that will be my workout and trust me I tried that workout a long time ago before lap band even crossed my mind and it about killed me lol. I'm just curious does anyone else have the problem of people who know you have had lap band do you feel like they are constantly watching you while you eat and when you're done and judge you for how much u ate. and like right now I am eating more but it's bc I need my first fill tonight I did have pizza it was thin crust and I ate four pieces and my mom was like how much have you ate? I mean obviously I'm doing something right bc I keep losing weight. Just was wanting to know if anyone else had this problem. And for lunch at work I have my bread that is low calorie and I have turkey bologna with mustard a string cheese sugar free pudding and apple sauce so I don't think that's to bad
  2. I think we all second guess ourself more than once. Because I'll be four weeks out as of Tuesday and I just have times where I'm like I wish I wouldn't of done this and last week after being put in the hospital I was mad at myself and my doctor asked why I was crying I just told him its hard and he said it will get better. I still don't get a fill until September 10
  3. I agree it took me some time to feel well. Like my first week after surgery I had a follow up appointment then afterwards went to the store and I just got worn out so easy. Then bout two days later my aunt took me out to walk at a store just to build my strength up. And the more I walked the better I felt. My doctor gave me phenagran for my nausea
  4. I do have energy but this is my first week back to work and I am tired. So trying to do that and take care of me I'm just pooped. I will say this its been three weeks yesterday I've lost 25 lbs and its amazing about how much more I can do. This time last year if I would've went to the fair I would've died walking the other night I was able to walk the whole time except maybe to sit while my mom and aunt looked at something I didn't want to. Also I'm happy bc normally before WLS it was so hard for me to shave my legs in the shower but the other day I did that and it made me happy...it's the small things lol
  5. I feel good for the most part. First day back to work bc I work at a school and I think I'm more pooped out from that. Plus only sleeping twenty mins at the hospital and last night my head hit my pillow and I was out. And today was kinda hard bc I could only have liquids kinda starving. So I did eat some soft food and I did fine. I appreciate everyone checking on me. I was so mad at myself
  6. Yeah it swelled up from me eating popcorn so now I'm on the liquid diet for forty eight hours then soft for the same amount then I will be on regular food as of Friday. Hate hate hate the liquid diet did I mention I hate it!
  7. I ate yesterday and idk what did it but I got this tight pain in the middle between my chest and into my back. Had to call my doctor at 130 in the morning and he called and we talked and agreed to get some sleep and he would call me at 8 am and he did and I thought I was fine well I got up around 1230 took my medicine and it was like my juice was just sitting there so I called him back an he decided to admit me. They're gonna do a swallow test tomorrow
  8. Me too me too. Today I won me a spot back in the hospital and I am hurting
  9. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with the crying moments questioning if I did the right thing
  10. I think I know where ur coming from. I'm two weeks out of surgery and I'm on my regular food diet and then yesterday I felt bad bc I wanted cheese stick from papa johns and I ate six of them and I had a friend who had this surgery and she said I don't have a fill so I want to eat like I did before my surgery. But they want u to instill the good habits before the fill and I was beating myself up and hope I didn't mess anything up. And I'm just trying to be good and know that once I get a fill I won't eat like this and for the most part I am doing what I'm told unlike last night...
  11. Hello all. I'm Brittani as well just with an i on the end instead of y. I am 25 yrs old and I just had my surgery July 30. And with pre-op diet and surgery I have lost a total of 22 lbs. I also have days where I question oh my gosh should I of done this? And it was a mistake. It will just take time to get use to this new journey. I mean because when I got bored I ate when I was sad happy or mad I ate..I mean food controlled our lives. And I feel like when I'm done eating I have this so called "food devil" in my ear going psttt u know u want more. The doctor I go to they have a support group on Facebook and I met a girl and I was telling her and she said once you get your first fill and get in the groove you will be fine. Because tonight I was beating myself up bc I felt like I ate more then I should have but it's bc all that swelling is down and my band isn't filled so therefore my brain is saying eat you damn fool! But when in reality the doctors do it this way so you can get in the habits of what your suppose to do when the band does get filled. And since mine isn't filled I still want to refer back to my old ways. This is definitely a roller coaster ride
  12. Well congratulations that's awesome you're almost there
  13. You look awesome. What was your starting weight and your weight as of today and have u met your goal?
  14. I kept feeling better each day but I know my doctor said no lifting over five pounds. Three days after my surgery I had to go get recertified for my job and the class was four hours long. I mean if your talking about going back to work I say it depends on the kind of work you do. If you have an office job it should be ok you may just have to get up and stretch some.
  15. I am feeling better today. I was able to start regular food thank ya Jesus! And I notice I'm staying fuller longer. But after I seen my doctor Tuesday and talked to him I felt alot better. He said if you're hungry between meals eat we don't want you starving yourself..and once my band starts to get filled then I won't be hungry he said its all normal right now. I don't go for my first fill until sept 10 and my surgery was July 30. Tonight we went out for dinner and I got a beef and cheese chimichanga and I only ate half so now I have another meal I will get use to this
  16. I had to be there at 6 am and there was no sleep for me I had to get up at 4 because they wanted me to shower before surgery with antibacterial soap. But good luck to you! It's a journey but just have to be in the right mind set
  17. Right off hand I don't know how much protein is in it. I got the whey at Walmart and I mean its a good size I got the chocolate flavor and it just taste like thick chocolate milk but its good. I mean its not cheap but for what u spend on that its better in the long run bc the ones that are pre made you only get 4-6 in a thing. Also where the whey is in Walmart that is where I found my blender cup and I absolutely LOVE it. It has like a whisk ball and I can only drink 8oz so I pour my milk put the whisk in and add my powder and shake it its quick and easy and no blender mess. And u can make it the night before put it in the fridge over night and shake it real well in the morning cuz things have settled but I found it helpful especially if ur in a hurry in the morning
  18. Can you have protein shakes? I bought the whey kind and mix it with milk it taste awesome and u get ur protein
