  1. Always looking for more buddies thru this process! I think the more support the better. My date is August 12, we are about the same time good luck!
  2. Wondering from those of you on your pre op diet how it is going. I am on day 4 of 2 weeks. The first couple of days not bad, now I'm stressing out a little. It's hard to explain to my husband how I feel. Feeling a little frustrated.
  3. Had my scope this morning and started my pre-op diet today! Only 13 more days til my band day!
  4. Best of luck! I'm 2 1/2 weeks away! Wish it was here already! Start pre-op diet on Monday. Good luck with your progress!
  5. Lol! I have thought about that too :-) I have around the same amount to loose probably 120-130. I am hoping exercise will help. I have had a few surgeries and have never had a problem with the anesthesia. But everone is different. But most don't. It will be okay! :-)
  6. I have been also. Like you, I read about people who have failed or I know people who have. BUT... I also see or hear what they are doing or more importantly not doing. I think what is the most scary is that failure possibility. I have made all the lifestyle changes that I needed to a long time ago and live a very active life. I am hopeful that this will be the tool that will finally help me achieve that goal that has always been out of reach. My doctor and dietitian have been telling me I will do very well. Guess I just gotta have faith! Don't worry too much about the anesthesia. Is this your first time having a surgery? Typically its not too bad.
  7. Oh, I hear ya! It's been a long journey! Ready to move on to the next chapter of life. I'm having surgery in Minnesota. How about you? Have you been apprehensive at all?
  8. Have you started pre-op diet yet? I go for my appt the 23rd and will start a 2 week diet the 28th.
  9. Hey! I have also just joined recently. I am scheduled to be banded on August 12th. Excited but nervous.
  10. I am finding it interesting also. I will start my pre-op diet the 28th. I will be full liquids for 2 weeks. I can have lean meats, dairy, and non starchy vegs the first 7 days. I have a very strict food guideline that I cannot stray from. Must eat or drink at least 60 gms protein/day and lots of Water.
  11. Hi All! Just joined today. I am 4 weeks today from surgery and 2 weeks from yesterday from starting my pre-op diet. Any words of advice from those of you who have just recently went through the process? I am excited to make some connections with othets who are experiencing what I am.
