  1. Did you have to go to Chicago for all the tests and things? I tried to set up the eval in Oswego and they said they only do Chicago! But on the website it lists Oswego.... :/
  2. Cruehead-- which clinic is he with?? I'd love to stick to the area instead of battling Chicago traffic for tests and things!
  3. I'm from Plano but haven't been banded yet. I'm just starting my journey-- going for my eval at day one health in Chicago on Monday eek. Good luck!!! Congrats on starting this great new way of life!
  4. What insurance company do you have?
  5. Oh no! I'm sorry-- bad suggestion! At least now you (and I as well) know to stay away from gum!! Eek. Hope you're feeling better soon!
  6. I'll prob find some body armor to wear my first few days back anyways
  7. I work at a hotel for dogs and cats so I'm constantly on the move. And dogs that may jump up on me... Eek. I'm definitely going to have to schedule surgery next year in January or later due to not having enough vacation or sick time to cover me for what I'm thinking I will need :/ yikes! Thanks to everyone who has responded so far!
  8. I'm not banded yet so I cant relate BUT could you chew gum instead? They have so many wild flavors now, maybe the constant act of chewing could help?? I like the ice idea too. I do that now
  9. Your username caught my eye because I live in Plano as well! Except I'm in Illinois Good luck with your surgery!
  10. Hi guys! I'm brand new to the site but have been reading your posts like crazy. I've read that the time you are out after the surgery depends on your job and your body of course. Can I ask how long you were out for after surgery, what you do for a living and if you felt that was ample time to heal? Thank you!!
