  3. My surgeon had my pcp lower my dosage before I had the band placed due to being over medicated. He told me that he did not anticipate medication being changed due to weight loss for the treatment of hypothyroidism.
  4. Hi Heather! Can you please tell me how you got a ticker that has both your BMI and your weight? I can't seem to figure that out. I would also love one that has the number of days since my surgery on July 12 (if you know how to do that). Thanks loads!!

  10. Thanks, Missy! You're definitely a wealth of knowledge
  11. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer, Missy. One other thing, I would like to include on my ticker (or maybe a 2nd ticker) how long I have been banded and/or my BMI. When I tried to create a second ticker, it took my "weight ticker" off. I notice you have BMI and weight included on yours. Also, how do you post your motivational quotes?
  12. Very helpful! How about Bandster Hell...I'm sure I don't want to go there, whatever it is...but would like to know.

  21. Since I am new to this subject and website...(banded Friday, July 12)...I am reading abbreviations and acronyms for the first time ever. I think I just figured out that "onederland" must mean a weight under 200. Is that right? Can anyone throw out some abbreviations and their meanings so I can celebrate your successes with you? I am starting to feel less of an outsider with my nose pressed up against the glass looking in...lol!
  22. Congratulations, Newbie! I had my surgery 4 days ago on the 12th. Like you, I am so anxious for my new life, new body, new accomplishments, new pride in myself. So far I have lost 7 lbs. I have been so educated and impressed with the bandsters that gather together here to support each other. I have learned so much already. I am particularly impressed with a few people that have lost large amounts of weight and continue to be here to support all the new people instead of moving ahead and not checking back in. Their mentoring is totally impressive and appreciated. Good luck tomorrow. I hope we can be friends and support each other as well!
  23. Thank you for posting this one. Today is my BIG day! I feel like I'm shifting my addiction from food to this forum...LOL! Can't wait for my ticker to show some progress now. My new life begins in just a few hours. Please keep positive thoughts for me over the next few days. I am so happy to begin this journey to feeling accomplished and really great again.
  24. This is my very first post! I have been following along reading about everyone else's struggles, questions and triumphs since I had my first visit with the weightloss center 5 weeks ago and here it is...TODAY. My husband and I will leave for the outpatient procedure in about 2 hours. No one but one band-buddy and my husband knows about my decision. I am so done with being fat and all that comes with that. Today is the most I will ever weigh again. It is the fattest I will ever be again. I am looking forward to my new group of friends and sharing our trials, but most of all...celebrating our triumphs!
