  5. Wow... I had no idea a card existed. I'm going to ask my doctor. Thanks all!

  8. Bravo....very well said! Getting healthy for my children is the ultimate motivator.
  9. I am definitely feeling restriction and am doing well with my portions... If I can get my chewing under control and better train myself to slow down my eating, I am considering holding off on getting a fill for a while. Especially if I am still loosing weight. We shall see.
  10. I very much agree... I actually am well into normal foods stage and just wanted to try a nugget for old times sake....so did not enjoy it and will not be eating McDonalds any time soon.
  11. Good job! The true test is how your clothes fit.
  12. I am a little over a month post op.... No fills yet either. I haven't gotten stuck but I definitely notice a "tightness" when I don't chew well and slow down my eating. My doc says that he has had some patients never needing a fill. Do you feel any "tightness" when you eat starchy foods?

  14. McDonalds chicken nuggets are evil...lol....I tried one today and my band did NOT like it. Lesson learned indeed!
  15. That happened to me too! It was horrid!
  16. I burp constantly especially after eating... Luckily it's not not a full out belch as I try to be somewhat lady like... I've gotten so use to it I don't realize I'm doing it anymore. I hope I don't let it loose at work. How embarrassing! I was banded June 14th and my doc said it would go away eventually. We shall see

  19. I know your frustration....I was banded June 14 and have lost 12 lbs (I actually gained a few back when I started normal foods)....I just keep watching what I eat and I exercise and then i tell myself it will come off eventually... My first fill is July 31st... We will see. Hang in there!
  20. Thank you... I do feel like my metabolism is totally messed up. I need to stop weighing myself! Thank again.
  21. I am almost one month out. Feeling very good and back to normal. I have been tracking my calories etc on "my fitness pal" (keeping calories well under 1500) and been walking (could walk more but hard to find the time). I had lost 15 lbs after the initial liquid/soft foods stage but almost as soon as I started normal foods, I quickly gained back 5 lbs. Needless to say, I am so upset. I haven't had a fill yet (1st fill scheduled july 31st) but I have been feeling some restriction so I am eating much less. I know my doc said my weight loss would slow down until my first fill but he didn't say anything about gaining. Has anyone experienced this as well?

  23. Female...I am hungry and could easily go over 1500 if I wanted to but I am usually around 1300 or 1400. Can't wait for my first fill!
