  1. I know you're right. I just have so much to lose I want to keep things rolling. Thanks for your feedback.
  2. My doc says "yes" to carbonated beverages, but not with a straw or directly from can/bottle. As long as I pour the soda over ice and let it set the "bubbles" settle out.
  3. Those cones are actually really good - and only 170 calories and 4.5 g fat. Not something to do daily, but the occasional treat. Of course the pre-banded me couldn't eat the ice cream without fruit - in the form of 2 apple pies!
  4. I don't actually see the doctor. Through this entire process I've spoken to him for less than 60 seconds (no exaggeration). I wish I could get them to do 4 cc. At least they are having me come back in 2 weeks for another.
  5. I was totally freaked out for my first fill three weeks ago. The nurse digging looking for the port hurt worse than the needle. Today was my second fill - got another 2cc - but gotta be honest it was very uncomfortable. I think the tech I had today was just not as delicate. Got this weird gurgling feeling in the port as she was doing it. Felt nothing last time. Think it all depends on who is doing it.
  6. I have the same late night issues. Prior to surgery I EASILY consumed 1200-1800 calories EVERY NGHT after 10 pm. My first step is replacing the crap with better choices. No more PBJ and chips and Cookies. Now it's a fat free turkey hot dog (or 2) some diced watermelon and sugar free Jello. The second thing I'm working on is going to bed earlier. That after 10 is my "me time" to watch my TV shows, read, surf the net - whatever. I'm having to learn and make the decision to not sit and graze for 4 hours. Good luck and make sure to share any great ideas you come up with.
  7. Chicken salad is like one of my favorite all time foods. I've gotten pretty good at making a healthier version. Instead of the bread I eat it as a "dip" using cucumber slices as the "chips". Works awesome and I get to feel like I'm eating a bunch when I'm really not.
  8. Too bad you weren't filming it. Those clips always make Americas Funniest Home Videos.
  9. They won't want to be your friend when you start getting all the ladies anyway, so cut your losses. This process is hard enough on your own - you don't need others giving you crap about what you're working so hard for.
  10. Just switched from Livestrong to My Fitness Pal
  11. My nutritionist raised me to 1800 calories and I started losing again. At 1200 I was stalled. Some of my favorites: Wendy's chili Boiled eggs Lite chicken salad - canned chicken, lite miracle whip, mustard, dill pickle juice, diced apples or red grapes, diced celery, diced dill pickles I can make a sandwich with 45 calorie bread or my favorite is to serve it with thick cucumber "chips"
  12. Another thing I'm loving right now is taking some fresh broccoli and putting it in a ziplock bag with some low sodium soy sauce. Seal up the bag about 95% and microwave 3:00 or until desired done ness. Makes awesome side dish.
  13. Do you have any where to get your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) tested? This determines how many calories your body uses at rest. I know it's different for guys, but I was originally on 1000 calories. After getting my BMR tested my nutritionists raised me to 1800 calories and I've starting losing again. I'm not suggesting you go to 1800 calories, but I would discuss with a medical professional about your daily caloric intake.
  14. Have to ask my wife what she says about painting my nails as hunger control!
  15. One days not going to hurt you. Just have a good day tomorrow.
  16. Face, ankles, and belt line. I had to go down to an old belt when my pants fell down crossing the parking lot!
  17. I had to talk assistant into 1.5 cc at my first fill last month. She was only going to do 1 cc. I've been crazy hungry since.
  18. I had to talk them last month into 1.5 cc as they were going to add only 1 cc I've been hungry ever since.
