Mine said something about a leak test in the OR....I meet with him on the 23rd and I'll ask him about it. There was so much info to digest on my first visit that I didn't catch everything. I'm very hard of hearing and I have to bring my bf to all my appointments and he relays the parts I don't hear. I'll ask him and see what he said. I sure Hope I can have sips or ice chips but either way I'm not going to complain. I'm just grateful to be having this done. :-)

That makes sense. But I'm sure gonna want some ice chips. Lol

Im in the market for a new scale. What do you all use and have you tried the Fitbit scale??? I'm just full of questions today.

Keep me posted on how you are doing. We're pretty close in dates of surgery. I'm just excited to start on a new me. I'm sure once I get to the night before the surgery I'll for sure be anxious. Lol

I've had a few surgery and I always come out with a parched throat and dry mouth. Are we allowed to have ice chips in recovery? I'll double check with my team but just wondered your experiences.

I'm 19 days from surgery day and everyone asked if I'm nervous, answer is I'm not. I look at my pics of how I look now and I get excited to have this done. Do you think my feelings will change and I'll get scared???

Just got the hemp seeds... They taste like sunflower seeds. I think I'll stick to the unjury protein drinks but since these seeds are 10 grams per 3 tablespoon I think I'll add them to salads for an added boost

I had to complete all the prerequisite's before getting my appointment with the surgeon. Took me almost 10 months but I've seen others on here get in right away. I hope you don't have to wait as long as I did. I had to wait almost 2 more months for approval but now I'm scheduled for February 5th.

Just tried the hemp protein and it tastes worse than dirt. Maybe a cross between moldy grass and dirt. Not that I've tried either but it tastes gross!!!

I always wondered the same thing about if they died but was afraid to say it but since we broached the subject does anyone know of someone passing from the surgery that's been on the message board? I guess we wouldn't have any way of knowing. It is bothersome to me and my surgery is February 5th... I guess it's always everyone's worst fear. I hope I didn't offend anyone by saying this.

Thank you Autumn Breeze, it took it a while, the waiting was the worst part but it finally went through. I hope yours goes through right away. Our surgery dates are so close, we'll have a lot to relate to. I'm looking forward to the journey, looks like we could be taking it together. :-)

53 days but got approved. Yay!!! Surgery is Feb 6th... I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen but I did my best to stay positive and it payed off...

Thank you. I had almost resolved myself to the surgery not happening. I've never heard of it taking 53 days for approval before.

As anyone tried the hemp protein?

It took 53 days for my insurance company to approve me but thank goodness they did... My surgery is scheduled for Feb 6th. Now I feel like part of the bunch! Whoo hoo!!!! So excited now.

I was calling everyday but they started saying that if I haven't heart from them, then I'm suppose to call the surgeons office because they will know something before me as they fax their decision to the surgeons office. Just giving me the brush off. I e-mailed the surgeon and his nurse said if they haven't heard anything by the 2nd of January she'll call them for a status report. Do you think the length of time they are taking has any Bering on their decision?

It's been 42 days since my records were submitted for approval. What is the longest anyone has had to wait. Does the length of time tell you that I might not get approved??? I'm just so anxious that this may not happen.

Called the surgeons office yesterday and they still haven't heard anything. 35 days and counting. I'm afraid since it's taking so long I'm going to be denied. The insurance company has basically told me 'don't call us, we 'll mail you a letter'...

I purchased these egg whites as a referral from a friend who swears by them. I've not really tried them yet so I'll let you know. However for some dumb reason I thought they'd have a better texture. Don't know why I thought that but had it in my head. Lol.
