  1. I am scheduled for surgery on August 13, 2013. Due to my insurance, I need to have nutrition consultation for three months. I have done well so far going from 317 to 305 through exercise and diet. BTW I am 5 foot 10. My highest weight was 350. I am happy about the time I have had (I began the process in March) to really make sure I am ready for this journey. I have actually contemplated lap band for several years and I have arrived at this decision after realizing I was ready to turn a new page in my life. I have had several disappointments over the past few years & I am really ready for a change! I don't approach this process through any negativity about who I am or what I have been. I just look forward to taking better physical & mental care of myself!
