  1. Hi. I'm only 8 days in so the good is that I have lost 13lbs in a week. But I can see why, I haven't eaten and still takes hours to get my protein drink down. The bad is giving up all the foods were used too, the ones that got us here so maybe not bad after all. From what I read, we can eat more variety as time goes on. Having a hard time adjusting to eating slow but I pay for it so my body tells me and its just a whole life change... Except I can't really cheat like we could without band cause my body won't let me.... Too full. If u need help but want to change, try the band. Good luck whatever u decide. It's a mental battle mostly!
  2. I meant 233... I wish 133 lol
  3. Feeling renewed! I'm 8 days post op and was feeling discouraged last couple days with all the changes. I was 246 surgery date 6/3... Weighed myself at gym today 8 days later and it says 133!!!!! I'm still in shock! Brought tears to my eyes! That's 13 lbs in a week and over 22 in last few weeks!!!!! Yeah results
  4. I feel for you but honestly, considering the changes we need to make, you can do this and still be able to enjoy all food in moderation. I have the band but doesn't make us want food less, until we change. Good luck and don't let this detour you. Just learn to follow the guidelines and exercise and you will get there
  5. Well said! These posts help me a lot. Thank you. There is another reason for you, you help others
  6. Wow. That was deep lol. I needed that. Honestly never measured food in my life and thought overwhelms me. I don't know why.... Plus im not as organized as i need to be. But I would like to try. Just have a 1cup measuring cup. And how would I measure meat? Sorry if dumb question but I'm no Betty Crocker, so I always picked fast and ate. I'm one week in and starting mushy foods but still mostly liquid. When I eat what I think is nothing , I feel full uncomfortably. Does it make sense to feel hungry and full? Having hard time getting suggested fluids in too but as I eat more, I will measure and try your challenge. Thank you!!!! Would you mind sharing pics or pre op wt and current ? Ur inspiring and I'm proud of you!
  7. Good luck to those of you about to have surgery. Surgery was easy! You won't remember a thing and you will be just fine
  8. Same here. I keep checking scale but not sure mine is correct so looking forward to dr visit. Keep up the great work
  9. I have the glue on outside and any inside stitches dissolve. Today I'm hungry but I feel lighter, I have lost around 10lbs last couple weeks. Everyone's different but I love food and I was a carb junkie so it's challenging. I have to practice a lot at chewing slow! That will be hard but I don't want to get sick
  10. Banded on 3rd and back to my office job. I hear you on the bra thing and itchy belly. I'm feeling much better this week. Gas was a killer! Good luck today everyone
  11. Hi. Good luck. I'm 1 week post op and still an emotional roller coaster but I'm already seeing results which makes it all worth it. Like any change, we need to be patient and give ourselves time to adjust.
  12. Good luck you will b just fine! I'm 1 week in today. Just like pre op, it's a mental battle as well, so be strong and take it day by day, one day all those days will add up to success. Try to remember why you wanted this and remind yourself when your feeling unsure! My advice to myself too lol
  13. Your life and health are more important. What good is a patio if your not around to use it. Think of yourself for once. Good luck whatever you decide
  14. Omg. Today was my First outing cookout where they had pizza. It looked wonderful. I wasn't that hungry but pizza is my weak spot. But I fed some to my son instead. You did make a great choice and its a new day!
  15. Same here ladies. I'm 6 days post op. had to smell pizza today which I love. It was hard, I'm just so afraid of getting sick so not sure but I drank a cup of chicken broth last night and felt crazy bloated. Scared me off food , lol. Plus once I eat some ... The flood gates open so trying hard not to give in. But it's hard when u hang with friends or family... Everyone's eating... And now people are acting wierd like they feel bad eating around u right? Lol. Good luck ladies. We can do this. Day by day
  16. I was nervous last week too. Has surgery last Monday. I have a 1 yr old and broke up with his dad 6 mths ago. He is trying to come back but I'm going to focus on me and my son only. When we feel better about us, we might change and not want that same guy. Take time for you. If its meant to be, he will b there no matter what
  17. Had mine June 3rd... Could use any support. Feeling a little emotional today but font know why
  18. This was perfect for me. I'm 5 days in and I weigh 250lbs. I want to get to have the same check list as you!!! How long did it take you? You look great! Such a great accomplishment. Do you go out and have dinner or drinks with friends, do you feel normal?
  19. I hear you! The week before my surgery and night before, I was second guessing my decision. It's hard to change. But I did it last Monday and I'm 5 days on liquid diet. I have no regret and feel happier knowing I will feel better about me soon. The gas pains are prob the worst ... But I'm new too so we will see! Good luck. If u have doubts , remind yourself what u led u to this decision
  20. Thank you everyone. I had help with the baby but not much anymore but I'm trying not to pick him up a lot. He's 25lbs and it hurts. I just drank a cup of broth and feel way to full. Too much maybe
