  1. Best of luck tomorrow! You'll do great!
  2. I had one repaired too (that I didn't know I even had either) at the time of getting my band. I am 6 days post op, and experience the same tenderness/tightness when swallowing anything thicker than water. It does seem easier every day. It surprises me that they are so common.
  3. That's amazing! Congratulations! Great job! I am 5 days post op, and finally feeling better. Reading your post really inspires me! Keep it up!
  4. By the way, congratulations on the 16.6 lb loss! My first post op appt is this Friday.
  5. I had my surgery on the 16th. I feel exactly the same way. I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow. The tired and weak feelings are awful. I didn't think it'd be this bad. With each day it does seem to get better. But it's quite a process. I hope we heal quickly and feel better soon. I'm sure this is the hardest part. Hang in there. ~Sonya
  6. So my surgery was on May 16th, now I'm two days out and still in quite a bit of pain/soreness. My doctor says that the second day is maximum swelling. Plus, she had repaired a small hiatal hernia (didn't even know I had), so that could be the reason for the excessive tightness I'm feeling. Not sure. I'm just super happy that the surgery is behind me now.
  7. Thank you all so much for the encouragement and enthusiasm. I will be sure to keep you all posted on the outcome. :0)
  8. I am so excited and nervous...but ready! I have to be at the hospital at 6:30 am and it's 2 hours away from where I live...I hope I can sleep at least a little. I look forward to starting my new lifestyle. All the the success stories, advice and pictures that I've seen on here really inspire me! I can't wait to be my own success story! Wish me luck!
