I am feeling good 3 days post op! All I want to do is sleep today *yawn* my neck and jaw are still sore. I am still on full liquids until Thursday( first day back to work BTW) I have major head hunger and just want a bite of cottage cheese or spinach asparagus dip heated in the microwave... Soooo yummy! Lol So I sit here and sip my chicken broth and lite cranberry juice and dream of mushy foods

I am feeling good. Today is day 3 and I can't stay awake today *yawn* I just want to sleep. I am still sore- mostly my neck and jaw and still some gas pressure and my incision sites are itchy. Everyone at the surgery center was awesome Can't wait to move onto mushy foods as the head hunger is getting to me!

How is everyone doing? I am 3 days post op. feeling pretty good. Had two nausea episodes yesterday. The first was after one of my dogs used my stomach as a spring board to jump up in the back of the couch I was laying on and then again last night I got nauseated looking at band friendly recipes on Pinterest! Lol Other than that as long as I don't move to much I don't have a lot of pain more itching at the incision sites than anything

Try going to page two and then click on page 3 instead of using the next page button. It's a glitch with the new forum and thankfully it looks like they are working out the kinks even if its slowly! Hello! Just got banded on Nov 7 2013! Looking for friends or more

How is everyone doing? I finally got my band on Nov 7th! Yay me!

2days post op and doing good! can't wait to be completely healed so I can do more! Can't believe a can of tomato soup is so filling! Lol never would have imagined that pre band!

So my new birthday is November 7 2013 I started my new life! I arrived at the surgery center at 0630 they took me back about 7(time I was suppose to be there) got all hooked up to an IV got a bag of antibiotic and a shot of heparin. Was wheeled back about 830ish and I woke about 945 was home by 11! Felt pretty good some mild stomach pains. Took my pain med and one dose of the anti nausea med and the gas ex strips just in case! Was able to sleep off and on. Woke yesterday morning at 230 with the infamous gas pressure and a sore neck and jaw. Took a gas ex strip and layed back down. I was going to let my kids stay home yesterday , but they both wanted to go to school! Crazy kids so I drove them to the sitters this am it wasn't to horrible! Came home took the pain med and drank some chicken broth. I have been wanting to burp and sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. So far so good! I can't wait for the healing to be done so I can start exercising! Oh the doctor does put saline in the band at time of surgery so I feel a little a head of the game! Yesterday I did a load of laundry, went to the bank, got kids, and went to SAMs club (did use an electric cart)- people stare like "what's that fat chick using the cart for?" made me self conscience. Anyways today I am going to try and relax and not over do it! I am now on full liquids today until next Thursday then I can move on to the mushy stage!

2days post op! Everyone was great at the surgery center! I wanted to bring the Anesthesiologist home with me he was one good looking man lol

Day 2 post op can move to full liquids today! Not really hungry but have major head hunger. My worst pain is my neck, throat, and I have a headache and as long as I sit still my stomach doesn't hurt (as long as dogs don't come bounding up!) I get to take a shower today!!! I am going to try and relax more today than I did yesterday

So sorry this was your banding experience. I am glad you were able to get a bigger band and are now home.

Wish they would have left well enough alone! I can't post or reply to anything! Would like to update the people that were following me about my surgery yesterday and I can't!

I'm glad to hear he puts some saline in at surgery! I will feel "ahead" of the game!

Thankfully I found someone that can take me and stay! Does anyone know if the Dr. puts any saline in the band at surgery? I forgot to ask when I met him and not sure I will remember to ask tomorrow!

Very excited! Getting ready for my "last meal" well ok a protein shake but whatever! Can't wait to be on the other side! so excited for everyone getting banded tomorrow!

I'm still pre op until tomorrow! But anyways I was told that the gummy vitamins could get stuck so I had to run out and grab different chewable vitamins! I guess my kids will have to take te gummy ones I bought!

Surgery tomorrow!!! Super excited!

So has the Doctor always required you have someone stay at the surgery center? Was just told today that someone has to stay there with me
