  1. Hi I came home yesterday. The pain was more than I expected but it is all worth it. I showered today and went out to do some errands. I'm still taking pain meds at night as I can't get comfortable. I never was a back sleeper. Thanks agin for all the best wishes.
  2. Day 2 really was the worst. I showered today and went out to do some errands. I'm not weighing myself but still feel bloated despite the fact I am urinating. Hang in there. It rely does get better,
  3. Try different temperatures. I wanted something ice cold and it didn't go down as well. I tried the hot water on my hospital try and it went down fine. I am home tonight and now able to drink cold drinks.
  4. I was a 12/2 sleevers and just got home. Surgery was easy and I don't remember anything. I had more pain than I hoped. I wasn't sure if it was gas or incision pain. Thrilled to be home. Trying to see what fluids and temperatures work. Good luck to those later in December.
  5. For those December sleevers, I just received an email from GNC. Everything is 40 % off even Isopure bottles. Shipping is only $1.99. The code is cyberbot. I bought 2 cases of Alpine Punch. Good luck to all tomorrow
  6. Well tomorrow, 12/2 is my surgery. I am not nervous yet, but I'm sure I won't sleep tonight. I didn't have it as tough as some others and had no pre-op diet. However, I will have a drain and a catheter. I maybe would have preferred the pre-op diet instead. I want to thank all the "veterans" on here for all your posts on various topics. Your posts have convinced me I can do it. Thanks to Laura-Ven, RJ's Beginning, Lipstick Lady, Gamer Girl, Butterthebean, Madame Reverie, Fiddleman and many others whose names I have forgotten. We didn't necessarily share any threads together, but always found your threads and answers interesting and your willingness to always answer questions about the 3 week stalls like it's the first time you heard it asked. I will hopefully see you tomorrow on the loser's bench and Good Luck to all the other 12/2 sleevers as well!
  7. It's so funny how different doctors yield different results!
  8. I was told the same thing after my endoscopy when the doctor called with results. He told me not to worry and they did a biopsy anyways and I'm being sleeved on Monday. Good luck!
  9. So glad my surgery time was moved from 4pm to 12pm on the 2nd. While I would prefer an earlier time, this will work.
  10. Good luck to you too ellsnanny!
  11. Hi, I'm getting done on 12/2. Had preop today. No issues with Cigna approval. I had read some horror stories. The only bummer is surgery is not until 4:00 in the afternoon. I will be a wreck and probably won't get up into my room until after 10 pm. I know how important is to get up and walk and am afraid I will be wiped. Getting surgery with Dr. Julie Kim at Mt. Auburn in Cambridge, MA. Good luck to all December sleevers. What a way to start 2014.
  12. Did you get rid of/donate clothes that will be too big next summer? I'm having surgery in December, so my 6X summer clothes will be too big next summer (I hope). I'm gathering all my winter/spring clothes that I have in all my fat sizes, but would prefer not to store next summer's. Am I putting the cart before the horse and being too optimistic what I will weigh next summer? Thanks!
  13. Just resting at home after mine this morning. The worst part was the IV. My throat is a liitle sore. I was nervous because I can't even have bite wing X-rays without gagging and this was a piece of cake. They also found a hiatal hernia.
  14. Make sure you are tracking your food. I'm pre-op and when I log I do well.
  15. Congrats. I am pre-op with Dr. Kim.
