  1. Hey everyone! I had my surgery done April 12 and after all those pressure pains I'm finally starting to feel better. I want to start exercising but I don't know what I'm allowed to do and what I'm not allowed to do. I've already lost 16lbs with the liquid diet and it's been really tough not being able to eat what I want. I want to work out my frustrations of not being able to eat by going to the gym. But I don't want to over do something and harm myself. Also, does anyone get lightheaded? Lately I've been getting light headed. I haven't been taking my protein shakes. I'm getting sick of them like nauseous sick because of the sweetness. Anyone else like this too?
  2. Hey everyone, I got banded April 12 and lately I've been feeling really hungry. Is it normal for water or fluids to go through with ease? I read all these threads about it being tough and others having their band slipped but no symptoms so I'm just wondering. Also I had 1 yogurt about 2 days ago and it went with ease. I haven't had anymore since then cause I read about the complications when skipping the diet rules. Any advice? I'm getting paranoid and I can't keep going to Mexico to reach my surgeon for little things I feel. ???£ Also did anyone get infections on their bottom incisions? Mine got infected and I'm in antibiotics for it to get better but it's taking super long (another paranoia)

    post-op day one

    I got banded last Friday and trust me I felt the exact same pain as you. The pressure pain in the shoulder, left side of your ribs, when you breathe you feel like something is stuck in your chest and you get all paranoid thinking something is wrong with your band. I had it all and it sucked but by the 3rd day I started to feel better. Just breathe in with your nose and out with your mouth for the pain. For the chest pain I would make myself burp by swallowing air and I would feel a bit better. That's all the advice I can give for now, good luck and it will only get better love
  5. Thank you everyone!! I went and saw my surgeon and he told me to just walk for now esp. since one of my incisions got infected :/ I started to take ensure with 13G of Protein but I think the calories are too much. I'm going to try the low fat Greek yogurt with the Protein powder, skim milk and fat free carnations with OJ that someone said Hopefully that will taste a lot better!! -THANK YOU!! I have another question (sorry for asking so much!) I've been getting really thirsty from the hot weather and I want to chug Water. I'm afraid because I was told small sips but I don't feel like it's enough and it's REALLY hot. What can I do? Just suck it up and continue with the sips or is it okay to drink water normally?
  6. Yes, I have been drinking lots of water and keep myself hydrated throughout the day. I guess I'll just start out walking until I can start doing squats and stairs later on. Protein wise I've been drinking beef broth, but I'll suck it up and go back to my shakes because I know that's very important right now :/

    Stress and the Band

    I feel like I put a lot if stress on my band. I got banded on April 12 and I'm still feeling pain around my sutures though. Is that normal? Also when I walk a feel pressure where the lap band is. Like I need to burp but its not coming. Like my band it going to come out of my mouth. Please tell me this is normal. I'm getting really worried.

    Surgery was yesterday

    Hello everyone, I just got banded yesterday and the gas pain is unimaginable. I hate the part where you need to breathe deeply and the pain doesn't let. Crying was the worst pain of all. I'm going to get some gasx today and hope for the best. Did anyone's throat feel soar afterwards because mine did and still does right now :/
