    Hello all. I decided to get a band and met with the surgeon. He said I may be put on blood thinners to decrease the chances of a clot forming. Has this happened to anyone else?? Also, does anyone know the actual reason why smoking is prohibited after surgery?? I'm making my pros and cons list so any and all facts would be appreciated. Thanks so much and best of luck to you all.
