  1. I have not been banded yet but I have done a lot of research and with the doctors and staff and the crackers, Cookies and chips are bad news. Thats something that will prevent you from losing the weight fast. Those carbs and sugars are bad news. I think you need to get a little unfill and then practice taking small bits using a small fork and chew those tiny bite for 20 times at the least. Eating to late is bad and dont drink wile you are eating. reeducate yourself and you will do better. get those carbs and sweets out of your house because they will hinder your weight lost. I agree with what everyone saying here. go get unfill some go back to your pre op diet twice a day and I am sure that will help. Keep us posted
  2. I will be seeing Dr. Hollis for my follow up care. I am just going to have my surgery done at another facility. I hear he is a great doctor. Has your experience been good with him? I was at the office on Wednesday for my Psych exam. I have to schedule my EDG which I am going to do that at another doctor because if I do it at true results the out of pocket will be like 1700. I saw your pictures and your looking good. I know you are very happy with your results. I can not wait until i get started on my post op journey. How has it been adjusting to everything? I have been trying to train myself now to take smaller bites and chew my food good. I actually have lost 4 pu=ounds on my own within the last couple of weeks
  3. So everyone agree it is gas? I definitely need to make sure I have me some good gas medicine available and walk everyday.

  9. What a bummer. The six months will fly by Some insurance companies do that. Mines do not require that. I had my first consultation March 26th. I had my Psyc evaluation today and I will schedule my upper GI and im done I am looking to have my surgery in early June.
  10. Yes, I read that that left shoulder pain is somthing just happens. They cant explain it. I was given a book from my surgeon called The Lap-Band Solution by Paul O'Brien MD and it tells you all about it. It has a lot of good information in it from pre op to post op
  11. Had my evaluation done on today and it went great. Boy that 300 questionaire they give you at the end to fill out is a doozy. Thank God I am a fast reader. Only thing left now for me to do is my upper GI and thats it. Cone on June lets get this going
  12. Thanks for responding. That is one thing I plan to do is become more active. I am a school teacher so when school starts back I am going to make it a habit to get out there with my students and run around. 75lbs is great !! Continued success
  13. Thanks for responding. I understand what you mean. Everyone is different. I am going to exercise and follow the doctors instructions to a T as well as keep up with my fills. I hear that is very important on order to keep the hunger under control.
  14. Thanks. I have been talking to a lot of people and you hear so many say don't get it it doesn't work and I find that hard to be true. going through this site I see many of people with success with the band. How has your journey been so far? Did you find it difficult at the start?
  15. Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and I just wanted to say hello. I will be having my surgery in June and I wanted to know if it was someone in my area that will be getting the surgery soon. I have my Psy Evaluation Wednesday and I think after that I have to have an upper GI and that is it. I am super excited about having this procedure.
  16. I know that will be me in June. I am in Houston and will be having my surgery in Dallas. That is about a 3 hour drive.
  17. Hi , I bet you are ready. I started to have the procedure 3 years ago and change my mind because I wanted to give the weight loss one last chance with diet and exercise. No luck. So I went for my nutritional visit and I have my psy eval on Wednesday. I hoping to have everything in place for June and I will have the summer to get in order before I gobkack to work
