  1. Hello All, I have had my band removed. Pre removal I lost @ 25 pounds and stayed there for about 2 years but also didn't continue with support or follow up with my doctor. Had been approved for both removal and revision but there is an issue with "acid reflux". So on hold for GSV. Question: Has anyone who had to wait not been able to complete their process and was it related to acid reflux? I am almost 3 weeks out since the removal and this is creating a whole bunch of other issues...no band, no restrictions, no stopping. To revert back so quickly. Support groups don't exist for the limbo state. Any suggestions?
  2. I was banded on the 26th and have had the same experiences. I will say I stopped taking my pain meds. The pain is very bearable. I have been walking. I find that the tightness in my stomach comes from the protein drinks. I am hungry and I wasn't expecting that. I did puree some carrots and add to my broth with some protein powder. That has helped me. I think I focused so much on the change to my eating habits that I didn't realize how much pain there was gonna be. Oh well...too late now and it's almost gone. Walking does seem to help. Still more fatigue then I was wanting. How about going to the bathroom....#1 yes....#2....NO...Here's hoping.

Wow! Just a few days away and feel very much unsure of what I am doing. I know I need this tool. I know I need to do this if I want to move forward but the idea of it all still is overwhelming. I am sure I preach to the choir but I feel like I am saying good bye to someone I have known my whole life. Food. My companion, my enemy, my comfort, my nemesis. So many feelings. I am glad I found this spot to talk about my feelings. Not sure anyone really understands how I feel but those who are making this choice too. Thanks for the listen.
