  1. Hello all I have recently decided ti follow low carb/high pr diet, but the problem is that I get a little irritated where my band is, it is not exactly heart burn but something similar until the Protein passes through completely, and I feel it competently! I don't have this feeling with carbs or vegs! I think it might be due to high acid accumulation there. has anyone ever had this problem, any suggestion?
  2. Do not hesitate at all, It is very normal to have this mood changes BUT keep in mind that we all had these doubts. But now so satisfied with the decision we made we would have it again if we had to decide .
  3. Dear Lisacaron I am having the same problem you have described here, I just wanted to know if it was anything important what did your dr say? is the discomfort gone now?
  4. Hi I am almost 6 months post-op and I have started to feel this weird sense around my point area, I cannot call it pain, its just that I can feel my port, like its a little heavy, and it causes an unfamiliar irritation. Is this a problem? do you think it can be an infection or something serious?
  5. Congrats,... Good Luck and smile.
  6. My mom, my brother who actually encouraged me to do it. I am single and so, no body else knows. As for the scars I said I had a complication with the bile system, so i had an operation. The funny thing that people see me tommy and they think I had a Lipo!!!! I am not gonna share it with anyone, maybe my husband if i got married, but even that Im not sure!
  7. I was in pain the first four, five days. But I was totally well at the end of second week, don't worry the second day is the most terrible day because the sedatives are cleared from your system now. I promise you will be very fine soon.
  8. Wow Thanks alot, I appreciate your reply, It really helped alot. BTW your assumptions were all correct he did get the fluoroscopy to make sure, and he told me by his procedure I had to have less visits than other dr.s, Sp i think he wanted to restrict me as soon as possible. Im so happy to see successful people like you. Your picture says it all.
  9. Tnx alot My pain is gone. I will see wa hat he says.
  10. Hi everyone I just had my first fill yesterday, 4.8 CC. Dr told me to only have clear liquids for 2 days and mushy food for 2 weeks. which I am totally fine with. I just wanna know is it normal that I feel a little pain at my band area? Its hard to even have liquids. I only had a cup of coffee and one glass of juice yesterday but each took me around 1 hr, is it normal??

  12. Thanks alot, you all really help He told me that he hadn't filled it. I believe it might be for speed and the size of the bite I swallow.but can you tell me how restriction feels? does it mean that after a certain amount it hurts a bit or ur hunger just gets satisfied with the food?
  13. Hi everyone, I have this question,I have been banded 3 and a half months ago and usually food gets stuck up on my band, and I still haven't got my first fill. do think its a good idea to have a fill for me? I dont get the meaning of this restriction which everyone talks about. I start eating and food gets stuck after awhile, it starts to hurt so I stop eating. Is it how it should be? is this what restriction means?
  14. Thanks alot, I had my painkiller med and i am walking, feeling a bit better. I hope this wont take long Thank you all again

  17. Thank you all, I will have some more researches before I do it, It seems it doesnt cover my expectations.
  18. Well, thanks everyone for your comments. Its very uncommon that I have to explain my reasons even here. Anyways i have struggled with weight loss since I have been 15, mentaly I have a huge obsession with this subject. I have never been able to stick to my short term successes in weightloss which has made me a deppressed girl. Belive me I have done the psych work as well. I know that we all somehow have same feelings about this stuff and I think your relationship with food is what matters not your numbers. All I need is to make sure that this op can help me have my desired weight and stick to it? This was my question. Believe me it was not easy convincing the dr too. Anyhow thank you all for your replies.
  19. The problem is not finding a dr, cause i have found one. In my country they do such thing for this BMI. What i am concerned with is the amount that the op will help for the weightloss.
  20. Hi, I am 30 years old 150 pound, my goal is to reach 100- 110 pounds. Can anybody please talk to me, will this op would help me reach my goal? And has anybody in this body range available in this forum? Doctors will not consider any other operation due to my low BMI, lapband is the only option that few suggested. I just wanna be sure that it gets me there. Tnx
  21. Thank you Ntvtxn If that is what you think. Then I should not hesitate I'm 65kg and I'm 1.6 meter I have done Lipo twice and I believe my obesession for food avoids me from being 50 which is my desired goal, Do you think I can obtain it? And more importantly, can I maintain it by this surgery? I have the problem of convincing my mom, since she is very worried and protective.
