  1. I have had the most pleasant experience with Dr D and all of the ladies in the office. Everything has really gone as described and as expected. From pre op, to surgery in September to now, I couldn't be more satisfied. I've lost about 40 pounds and as long as I do what I'm supposed to do, the band will do what it's supposed to do! I'm very appreciative that Dr D gives it to me straight! As one person mentioned above - he praises when you're doing everything right and he lets you know when your veering off course. That works for me! If you're on the fence or considering other places, let me just say that I began my lap band journey with one Arizona company and ended up leaving - best choice I made to go with WLIA!
  2. Same here! Was banded sept 12th...
  3. Had my surgery last Thursday, sept 12. Was very nauseous the day after and tons of gas pain. But now I'm walking, sleeping on my side or stomach just fine. Still a little sore where the port is. All in all, this hasn't been too bad. I'm able to sip more than the one ounce per five minutes that my dr recommended. Looking forward to "mushies" this Thursday! ???€
  4. I was banded yesterday too! And today I feel like I was in a fight and only got punched in the stomach! But I guess I expected to feel like this. I'm already walking and it really only hurts getting in and out of bed or the toilet. Like others have said, I'm on strict liquids for the next 7 days. And my dr said 1 oz every 5 minutes. That is soooo hard! My bedside has coconut Water, premier Protein, almond milk and Metamucil mixed in water. I'm supposed to get at least 60 grams of protein, so I gotta down two of these Premier Protein shakes! As for hunger, not hungry in the least bit! I actually got over food during pre-op, which I found to be easy actually. Good luck to u! Happy recovery...
  5. He performed my surgery today! I love him! He and his staff have been top notch from start to finish! :-). How was your first fill?
  6. So happy your surgery was a success, mine too! I'm at home trying to get comfortable. I feel the EXACT same way u do! I'm not hungry, just thirsty! I'm not too, too sore - mainly gas. Been walking and trying to lay propped up. Breathing into this plastic thing (name escapes me) is helping too. 1 oz of liquids every five minutes is a stretch!! I've some coconut Water, premier Protein and water. Anyway, sept 12 will forever bond us! Let's keep in touch..... Rest well.
  7. Yay! Me too! Just woke up - really couldn't sleep though! :-). Best wishes and cheers to our new life!
  8. I get banded on sept 12 too! Best wishes to you!
