Cindya- I got mine done at the True Results in San Antonio. I love the staff! I was pretty nervous but they kept me calm. The toughest part was waiting! I got there at 6:30 and they didn't call me back until after 7. I didn't go to the operating room until 8:15. Everything after that went by pretty quickly!
Dylanmiles23- I am a student so buy cheap right now! Just the Popsicle brand! But I absolutely love the cherry!
Had my surgery this morning! No complications and I feel great! I ate a Sugar Free Cherry Popsicle to celebrate and it was DIVINE!
I also finally found a store-bought protein shake that I like! It's called EAS AdvantEDGE Choclate Fudge!
Keeping my optimism up! I am so fortunate and blessed to have very supportive friends and family.
Until next time!
Wow! Time flies! I have surgery on Wednesday. I work in the school system so last week was spring break... and I was sick with bronchitis. I haven't lost as much weight on the Pre-Op Diet, but I'm pretty sure that's because I felt like death for a bit and hardly moved! I am about 11 pounds down though and feeling pretty good!
I can tell my anxiety about the procedure is creeping up. Had a crazy dream last night that the nurse called me and said my surgeon couldn't perform the procedure because he broke his finger. I was running from office to office looking for a new surgeon when it hit me that the surgeon she named isn't my surgeon... but my least favorite professor from grad school- oy vey!
Today is Day two of the 2 week pre-op diet. I also had my pre-op appointment with my surgeon- finally met him!
Yesterday was rough. By 3 pm, I was feeling really weak. I was told to only drink the protein shakes, water, sugar free drinks, etc. no food at all. I cheated last night and scrambled a couple eggs- felt sooo much better after that! After discussing it with my doctor, he said I could add a small meal a day- woohoo!
