Hey all my bandster friends I have a question for you does anyone know why we are not suppose to drink with meals? Its really hard for me but I'm doing it just wondering why I'm doing it? Thanks. Nanny:D

Thanks Penni and Darcy that makes sense, but alot of times the doctors tell you what not to do but don't tell you why, I just wanted to know why I was giving up my drinks at meal time. Thanks; Nanny:D

I thought long and hard I have only had my band Wednesday was 2 weeks how about Hope, yep thats it Hope what I've needed for along time LOL Nanny:D

Lisa, Yesterday was 2 weeks since I was banded tHE first night I slept in recliner after that I slept on couch for 3 days because I have a really high bed and me with short legs decided it would be more comfortable on couch. I went through the same feelings scared and anxious ready to chicken out but thank God I didn't I love my band I would do it again in a heartbeat. I was on liquids weeks before surgery I have lost total of 22 pounds I 'm so happy wish every large person could get the band. Good luck and know those feelings are normal, this is a great sight and don't think I could have made it without all these great Banders. Take Care; Nanny

Hello all my fellow bandsters well yesterday was a week since surgery filling great better everyday just getting through liquid stage. Since Surgery I've lost 7 pounds all together a total of ninteen woo hoo... Love my band and all you guys thanxs again for all your support, I told my Doc. about how awesome this site was, and 3 patients in his office. Hi Debra, I was banded the 7th, still on my liquid phaze, get stapls out this wednesday. Filling good just sore, taking it easy to heal right. I think the waiting is the hardest so get ready your almost a bandster. Take care. Nanny:D

Hey Everyone, Exited very nervous surgery first thing in the morning I'm #1 on the list, thats good I guess no waiting. I have wanted to back out a couple times over the past few days with this crazzzy clear liquid diet since Wednesday, but I've made it this for. And guess what I don't think I've lost anything. All that torture LOL. Well, please keep me in your prayers in the morning I will be back as soon as possiable. Thanks for all your support I love you guys. Nanny

Well, Hi I'm Nanny I'm 47 years young and have a wonderful husband that loves me and supports me we have been married 20 years my second marriage. first was abusive he was a real jerk. I have 2 children a daughter 26 and a son 21. I am a domestic engineer. I have a poodle that is 8 years old that I love he is soooo spoiled. I love to travel, camping, shopping, most of all spending quality time with my family that God has blessed me with. I love this site it is awesome, what would we do without it? Well getting banded tomorrow by Dr.Spiegal so when I come back to the board I will be a bandster like you all.

Well gang its been 48 hours on the clear liquids I think I'm loosing it, Monday is almost here right????? Never claimed to have willpower thats why I'm getting the band.... Just needed to vent Thankyou..... Hey does anyone know if I can take a vicodin with this killer headache with surgery being Monday.. Thanks, Nanny

Thanks, Penni and Vera, and everyone else for the support, just got back from Dr. office and then on to hospital for all my pre opt testing. Nervous nervous..Excited more. First day with no food biggest compaint so far is headache. I'll be fine. I'm the first one Monday morning at Reinesiance Hospital in Groves, Tx With Dr. Spiegal. Hello all you wonderful Bandsters, Guess what got my surgery date...July 5th OHH i'm so excited but soooo nervous I guess this is normal. Tuesday is my last time to eat food, then I start the liquid pre op. Hello, all you awesome Bandsters, Boy could I use your support, I have been on cloud 9 for last 2 months about getting the band, no one has really commented, Well, today I got my approval which Dr. office tells me will be in next 2 weeks well, friends and family have freaked out on me telling me horror stories, I think they were waiting to see if I was approved well what should have been an awesome day for me I spent crying and upset just wanting the ones I love to support me. I am normally a strong person and not a cry baby but today was hard. Thank God

Thanks Bailey M for your encoragment, I'm blessed to also have a hubby thats supporting me. I have had no hope for years now I feel as though there's hope and want everone to be happy for me.

I am patient of Dr Speigal I just got my apprval today hope to have surgery in next 2 weeks and yes would love to come to meetings. Thanks, Nanny
